Would a speaker wire work just as well?

thank you! How long of a length of coax cable do you reckon you could get away with? Would it still work over, say 100ft of cable?

I’ve seen ice fishermen using 50m but for swimming that’s a little overkill!

Is there a limit to length of cable that this will work?

not to my knowledge. it came from a group using it for fish setting under ice on a the lake. they were going down 30 - 40ft I think

No, we had just moved into a new house that cables in every room, which we didn't want. So u sued some of that. I have recently upgraded the pole, and bought some new co-axial off amazon and that does seem to work a little better, but I'm not sure if thats because its got less kinks in....

Kliff, I would say the limit will be on your housing. My gopro is only water proof to 10m. But I have heard of others having it work to 20 meters.
