Underwater Portrait - BMPCC 6K in SaltySurfHousing

Hold your breath with Madeline!
It’s easy to get comfortable capturing what we are good at, stepping into new areas can be daunting and challenging. Been taking an active step into underwater filming / underwater portraits and each time I learn something new.
Shooting in a pool with some incredible underwater creatives, was a great chance to practice and learn my gear better. Nailing focus is way harder underwater at f1.8!!
Went into this shoot with no clue of an end product so this is just a few clips cut together. Trying to express the feeling of holding one’s breath!
Filmed in 6k BRAW 50fps - constant bitrate 12:1
Edited in Davinci Resolve on a 25fps timeline!

Hi Manuel, great footage. I'm looking at getting the housing for my 4k. What were your common steps for maintaining exposure? Did you just cycle through aperture for the most part or compensate as well with the ISO range. I even had the thought of having an ND fitted to the lens so that you can maintain more of a wide open aperture. Keen to hear your process if you could share with me. Cheers
