    Really great Simon! Just bought the Backscatter Mini Flash 2 and snoot and bringing them down to Raja Ampat for the next couple of weeks. I am so glad I found this presentation! I feel much more equipped to succeed! Thank you!

    One day I'm going to do this. At this moment it doesn't fit Inn my series about starting macro photography on a budget. But under water photography is real nice. So thank you for sharing this.

    This is a fantastic lecture on underwater photography. I think you should actually convert this zoom recording into a properly produced underwater photography instructional video (backscatter style). Also, I see below that somebody said that it would be good to be able to add to the photos the parameters that were used in them, I very much agree with that comment.

    Hi, i also use the snoot like you but, when i focusing the focus light straight to the animal but when camera trigger the light go beside animal . Do you have any recommend ? Please advise.

    Hi there. it depends on the model of snoot, some you need to plan for the light to come out slightly to one side. It is a bit annoying

    Question: how do I get black backgrounds when the sync speed of my shutter is fixed at 1/160 with the flash?

    Reduce your aperture and ISO so that the image is dark unless you use your strobe. Then add strobe
