Thank you, Christine. It was a lot of work but so worth it!! 😊 But you could certainly simplify it, if you wanted to. Just skip the craft foam, acetate and shaker element and you’ve got a much simpler card that looks just as great!! 😊

Absolutely beautiful card. Looked very difficult to do however.

Thank you, Barbara. You could definitely simplify it by skipping the acetate, craft foam and shaker element. It looks awesome with just the three layers. You could also use colored card stock instead of ink blending. It just all depends on what you’re comfortable with. 😊 Thanks for watching my process!! 💜

This is a fantastic card! I love all the dimension. Shaker cards are not easy for me. So I know that a lot went into this. Definitely worth the time to watch! Of course I love it all but I like the last little bit of embellishment you put on... the bubbles... with those iridescent pearls! 💛TR

What a fantastic die set! I hope whoever gets this card appreciates all the work you put into it. :) So, did you choose Bristol Smooth because you like that best for ink blending? (Bad memory is not indicative of dementia ... but unfortunately dementia IS hereditary. So, like you, we are both headed for oblivion! LOL)

Hi Jeanne!! Well thank you. ☺️ Yes, I chose Bristol smooth because I find distress inks blend the best on it. Better than watercolor card stock. It stays wet a little longer but that also allows me to blend easier. It’s definitely my Go To card stock when it comes to ink blending. Darn, I was afraid of that about the dementia. Well, we better enjoy life, family and friends as much as we can while we still remember who they are and how we got there!!! LOL 😄😄😄

@@MistyElam One thing that works in my favor (because of my bad memory,) I never hold a grudge! Seriously, though, I wish I had kept a journal. I think that would have helped my memory and now that I am getting older, I wish I could enjoy some of the details of my life which I know I have forgotten.

A journal is a great idea!! Wish I would’ve done that sooner too. My sister has told me stories about us in high school that I was a part of and it’s like listening to it for the first time. I just have no recollection of what she was describing. I did do a baby book for my son so I’m very thankful for that. Wish I would’ve done more though..

@@MistyElam Not to belabor the point ... but we are always busy doing things for other people and our families, which we love of course. But I am strongly recommending you do this for yourself = start journaling your life. Doesn't have to be a chore, doesn't have to be every day or even every week. Times of strong emotions are good ones to write about. Those are the moments you will love reading about 10 - 20 - 30 years from now. Thanks for always responding to your viewer's comments. :)

Jeanne Jordan I actually am starting to jot things down, thanks to you! 😊 I started thinking about it and my son is turning 13 on Sunday. He’s not going to be in our house forever and I want to be able to look back and remember things that I might’ve forgotten otherwise. I actually keep all of my old notebooks because I love flipping through them from time to time and seeing what I was jotting down back then. Old notes, to do lists, etc. If I enjoy browsing through old notebooks, I know I’d love looking through an actual journal. ☺️ So thank you so much for the suggestion. 💜💜
