Man, this channel gets Flowey _right_ every time. Whether it's him arrogantly gloating, derangedly tormenting you in a hell of his making, or pouring his heart out in rare moments of sentimentality, the lyrics and voice acting always fits it perfectly and match 1:1 with the original writing. That is the case here tenfold. The lyrics are perfection all around; every line exacerbates Flowey's spite and ferocity, detailing his megalomaniacal agenda and his playful sadism to a T. And of course we can't forget about Alex Rybitski's performance; 7 years later and he is still THE Flowey voice, capturing the flower's arrogance and insanity all wrapped up in that decepticely-saccharine voice. Longish comment yes but I adore this character and seeing him done right makes me happy. TL:DR this is perfect

Dude when I was watching the musical byte package. You have NO idea how excited I got when the outro cutout, my mind went straight to "Oh this HAS to be Flowey" This is EASILY my favourite byte out of the package (Probably am biased a bit since flowey is my favourite undertale character + His songs are just bangers) I love the references to Undertale The Musical (Your Best Friend and Your Best Nightmare) The beginning of specimen mechanical you can literally hear Your Best Friend with lyrics in the background. It was super nice to hear Xander voice Flowey again! His Flowey voice has always been my favourite/headcanon voice for the character. You guys did amazing!

@@1th_to_comment. but that doesn't make sense. unless somehow he missed all opportunities to acquire the past souls even with reset, or he was specifically waiting for a determination soul, he should have been able to absorb one of the past human souls. I feel like he helped everyone out once in his pacifist runs, maybe absorbed 2 human souls since its *at least* 1 human and one monster soul to leave the barrier but seeing as he couldn't feel anything, he reset for more possibilities and at some point decided he wanted to become god and waited

@@Alecasnotebook monster souls cannot be absorbed unless they are boss monsters, and it’s never been stated that a monster can absorb another monsters soul Asgore is guarding the human souls, so flowery never had a chance to get them (aside from when asgore is distracted in the neutral route)

I think I noticed something unique about this song compared to the other other song’s in the package This is the only song to have the “end this tale” line which is a line that’s been used in multiple undertale songs with lyrics before. And it only shows up here because Flowey is the only original undertale character with a song in the package Just goes to show how much detail the team really puts into these videos

I mean getting 3 songs in one alone is enough to put this at the top. Your Best Nightmare was already one of my favorite MOTI videos but this did that and turned up the notch by 27. I loved the nods to the original YBN. Alex nailed it once again as Flowey, truly showing the insane colors of his personality in every single bit of this song. Bonus points for the most disturbing artwork of Undertale Yellow I have seen to date. 200/10

The real friends were the sociopathic flowers we met along the way

Watching everyone explode when flowey said “nether” during the premiere was hilarious.

This is going in the hall of fame as one of MOTI's biggest pop offs, the reveal at the end of the package was awesome.

This was one hell of a treat when you put this in the package, I really thought you guys were just gonna skip this one.

I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure this is MOTI’s 700th video.

Is it weird that 6:39 sounds heavenly to me? The way the VA sings the lyrics is amazing and kind of beautiful IMO

Flowey is unironically my favorite fight in yellow, and this is an awesome rendition of it. AFTERLIFE being after everything instead of in-between was really well made, and not only fits with the theme of it being the AFTER life but it sounds so climactic. This is overall my favorite song of the game, and this is the best lyrical representation of it EVER! Each specimen section felt unique just like the game represents. I also love how this contrasts the original, Clover can't best Flowey until LV20 whereas Frisk could from the get-go. I feel he's often portrayed as a gentle soul, when in reality although I do believe Flowey is still somewhat a child, he did very terrible things. This portrays how much of a malicious force he is in a way that isn't shown in most songs, PTSD, the Flower body and lack of the manifestation of a soul made it so he struggles to empathize and thousands of resets makes him view everyone and everything as toys. Playthings. I believe he deserves redemption, yeah. But one can't deny that would take centuries if not millenia. Anyone can be a good person, but they have to work to repair what they did wrong.

To be honest. Frisk didn't best flowey until at least level 19, as frisk only won in the neutral and pacifist routes because other characters intervened.

I do agree with you, but I generally tend to see *Asriel* as a more naturally good person (with some flaws) and Flowey as almost pure evil. I don't know what exactly caused this divergence but I see them more like two separate characters than a "perma-werewolf but flower" situation.

That art work is so creepy just like UNDERTALE YELLOW’s neutral rount and the fact that Flowey is already creepy.

I noticed how at 1:05 in Floweys lyrics, he references most of the human souls. "Patience is out, I'm tired of pretending." "Fake integrity, you great disgrace!" "You persevere, but I write the ending!" "Justice isn't kind, it's blind, determination breaks your mind!"

We do not know what trait the RED soul owns. Most people speculate and believe it is DETERMINATION, due to the constant themes of it throughout the game. I believe the RED soul to be the trait of HOPE.

Did anybody notice that starting at 1:03 for the next lines he lists all of the soul traits? (except determination isnt a soul trait but yeah)

From 3:49 onwards a sort of Megalovania esque violin comes in, and there’s a part of the Megalovania played by the violins. Which makes a lot of sense, considering Sans is the one all about judgement, and consequences due to his awareness of timelines.

To be honest, the battle with Flowey in the undertale yellow out to be much more creepy than in the original. here he seems even more violent, psychopathic and omnipotent than with 6 human souls. it seems strange,but in fact, he has already absorbed Clover's soul and is just tormenting him in some Limbo.
