@@carst0128 Flowey will say a "dead end" and the dialog is much shorter compared the other previous 3 runs. After that, the dialog will say the same dialog from the 4th run if you do a fifth run and beyond.

​@@MasterIsabelle there's no actual confirmation that the red soul is for determination, and iirc the only time souls are mentioned to have traits at all are in the Ball Game, where the red flag isn't told as being determination, but rather the culmination of all other traits.

The real tragedy of Flowey's character is that he has as much control as a player does over the game but cannot exist outside of it. He has the same restrictions as we do, he has to manually try out all these routes to see how they go. But unlike us, he cannot look up what choices make what changes to the game, he can't put the game down and play something else. He is as disconnected from his world as we are to his, but it is all that he has. A fictional character with the powers of a real person, a two dimensional object that has seen glimpses of a third.

​@@andrew506games4 The problem is his determination literally isn't his own. It was artificially injected into him, so he can't just stop being determined to live.

Not being the one in control of saving and loading definetly makes Flowey much more terrifying in this game than in undertale. Imagine if Clovers soul didn't "refuse" when dieing to flowey in the neutral boss fight. You'd basically just be swept away like Undyne the undying in the genocide route, no matter how strong you are, eventually doomed to fail.

That’s because Clover possess something Flowey could never have, Real Determination. Determination might give you control over the timeline and the ability to save and reset, but Real Determination gives you true control over this world. But here’s the thing, Clover doesn’t actually process this “Real Determination”… WE DO. Flowey realizes this in our fight with him hence why he looks up at the player at the end. He knows that he can never actually defeat Clover because we are the ones in control now. We decided if the game continues or if it’s closed forever, trapping Flowey in a single moment in time until we decide to play again. Being able to reset is pointless if time doesn’t progress.

@@mechamedegeorge6786 It's a fan game, everything is, by it's very nature, fanon and head canon. It's a fairly well educated theory though, especially when you take into account (from Undertale's pacifist route) that Flowey is completely medium aware and knows about the player, even outside the context of saving and loading, when he asks that if we do a true reset that his memories be removed too. I'll also say that dying to Asgore is not a good metric as there is a grand total of two occasions in Undertale Yellow where we see Asgore. The first is off the back of a pacifist route that *could not* be aborted any later leaving Clover with almost no LOVE and, based on the scene with Asgore and Martlet, seemingly not being a fight Clover intends to win in the first place. The other is on a Genocide route in a fight so hilariously one sided we don't even see the bullet board.

@@Asherbird25 canonically other human could save and load [dialogue from toriel in subsequent runs all but confirms this]; during the flowey x fight, he uses the humans' save files, with files 2, 3, 4 and 6 being used, implying the 6 humans between chara and frisk had saves 1-6 or 2-7. meanwhile flowey has save 8, as evidenced by the game creating a file named 'file8' during FLOWEYTALE. [additionally file0 is used for the save that's labelled with the fallen human's name and file9 is a second save file saved at certain hidden points [like at the start of the garbage dump] [note that there's a gap: if 0 is chara, 1-6 the inbetween humans, 8 is flowey and 9 frisk, there must be a file7. this is likely lemon bread, as they are at least 12 monsters who melted via too much determination injected, and they disguise as a save point before the fight.]

I love how after the fight, for a brief moment Flowey no longer stares at the soul and instead stares at *us* - the player. That’s probably not what devs intended, but I imagine that he almost became a self-aware game character, but his idea was too terrifying and he just brushed it off.

So this implies. The runs that Clover did before Frisk fell were: Neutral, Neutral, Neutral and finally pacifist

The way I see it: Flowey has had to endure and reset hundreds of runs before and after rigging the switch, maybe even some Genocides that Clover reset, and maybe even some Pacifists. Eventually he gave up, what outcome he stopped at is ambiguous but probably True Pacifist, and decided to wait for the 7th human, and we all know how that story goes...

@@aaandag9688 I think Genocide is a whole alternative ending, where control over the world is completely handed to Clover once flowey is killed. Assuming Clover could reset the timeline after this, I doubt Flowey would get back control. Making the genocide route a whole new idea for a path of the game. Assuming Flowey still remembers what happened in the genocide route, he will leave us alone.

Playing a undertale where Frisk falls in the underground but it's mostly empty because Clover already killed most monsters would lead to a more interesting Horrortale, since Horrortale's current explanation for why the underground became what it is on that AU is that the monsters went insane after the neutral route (Which had Asgore, their ruler, die)

cannot say it enough of how much i adore the devs putting so much effort into this game and various changes for repetitious or specific options. love it

@@ScarL25 pacifist too, but genocide is a whole other world. It's like, whenever you do genocide in undertale yellow, the normal undertale events wont happen anymore in the future.

Meta Flowey is such a fun fight, I love the level of detail they put into everything, especially with the different forms (Clay, Patchwork, etc.) and the FUN value dialogue

My buddy Clover really likes to fight Flowey

I would love an ending where Flowey doesn't kill Martlet and just waits til the next human falls.

@@penntopaper9305 What they mean: An ending like Neutral, but without killing anyone. Clover never gets the motivation to either leave their SOUL behind for the monsters and never fights Asgore and just lives out the days in the Underground with the small friendgroup Clover's made.

Flowey you have no idea what would happen if Clover decides to massacrate the whole underground if he had the chance.

​​@@Crystal-dl9ks true pacifist also has that post credits scene that takes place during the omega flowey boss fight from the regular undertale but from clover's perspective, which confirms it is the real path (although i haven't done any other ending besides that one so far, i went straight to genocide lol)

I like how each route has its own unique final boss battle. Compared to undertale the neutral route is actually worth it in this game, while in undertale its just kinda boring as the final boss in there can be found in the pacifist route with more.

That's not true. That's because Undertale has a pacifist ending and a true pacifist ending. The pacifist one is the neutral route without visiting the True Lab, where you fight Flowey and get the best possible of the Sans' calls endings. You have basically only killed Asgore (Actually it was Flowey). The True pacifist is a whole different ending, where you just avoid fighting asgore by befriending all the important characters. This cannonically only could be done with the information given to you by sparing Flowey at the end of a neutral. But after that, the logical thing is to reset the whole game, and go for the true ending. Most people however, just return to the checkpoint before the Asgore battle, but then, you are basically changing the run you are making at the last moment.

Undertale Yellow: - Pacifist (True and Flawed, iirc): Ceroba - Neutral: Meta Flowey - Genocide: Martlet Undertale: - Pacifist: Asriel - Neutral: Omega Flowey - Genocide: Sans Unless you're referring to the fact that you don't have to go THROUGH neutral to get TO pacifist in UTY, in which case, definitely agree + sorry for misunderstanding.

@@citriosis Yeah thats what I meant, way to many of these undertale fangames have a really awesome pacifist bossfight and a really awesome genocide bossfight while neutral is left in the dust with nothing inherently unique, and as you said, you don’t have to go through a neutral timeline to reach pacifist so the neutral bossfight in yellow is completely unique.

i think it should change more if you did a genocide run before hitting the three neutral mark. he says that you just trying to live peacefully isn’t the only way you’ve tried things, but what if you did a genocide run beforehand? he would know you moving in with toriel or martlet isn’t _really_ the only things you’ve done

Y'know, Flowey is so smart, yet kinda stupid at the same time.I mean, this fella could give the aborted genocide (At The Steamworks) Clover his friendliness pellets and while at LOVE 13 (if i remember correctly), Flowey could convince GunHat to going to the Asgore with her, which would lead her leaving Clover with the king, but instead of fighting, I'd even say surviving with him being so weak, LOVE 13 Clover with the ppwer of love and Flowey's ammo, AND MAYBE even his attacks he can do in fights, they both could defeat Asgore and them, Flowey'd easily beat Clover.With the 6 souls and one soul of monster, i bet Flowey could fulfill his dream and goal But no? He just loves to engage Clover in being inside of him.That's just hilarious

I don't get... I just don't get why won't devs let us to go to Asgore and get another ending. Set right atmosphere and let Clover go along to their end. Meta Flowey is cool and the pacifist ending is amazing, but sone enemies are just ask for couple of bullets and sparing them isn't just a just (this why i killed Starlo in my first walkthrought). I hope they'll do a patch to add a way to go in castle on neutral route

Since there are probably a lot to see in this game, maybe do it by yourself? Since it would be a better experience and you can try different stuff, like doing pacisift untill ceroba joins, and killing a robot when she is with us? Or whatever you could think of!

After to many neutral routes Flowey had enough So instead of fighting Clover in the end Flowey tried to kill Clover at the dark ruins “Put epic battle or idk” But failed And now… And now the travel feel’s different… Less safe… So Clover decided to level up to feel safe =) … (Idk really I thought this will be funny)

Idk you but i found this neutral flowey fight easier than from the original game. Of course, it may be because Flowey can save and load midfight on Undertale. Also, there is absolutely no problem in a fangame being harder than the original game. Most of the times that is the point of a fangame. Also, Undertale itself is quite easy for most parts except Undying Undyne, Sans, Omega Flowey and Asriel, so if we are going to think and make a game about a different timeline, why not also use a different difficulty? Deltarune, although not a sequel nor fangame, is quite harder than Undertale and i found it's fight sequences more enjoyable overrall.
