@@LiterallyHavik actually it is Flowey was made by Alphys when she injected a Flower(the one Asriel's ashes spread on)with DETERMINATION and said 'I wonder what happens if something without a soul gains the will to live' and Flowey says that he has been empty inside of a long time and in the next journal entry it shows his signature smile. And the flower dissapeared like how Flowey can appear and disappear at will

I realized thats San's depression might be caused by Flowey since he did the resets before The last Human Child fell. Thats why he tends to be lazy and apathetic. Its also possible he was always this way due to something else.

@@Jpx0999 Still, even with him not exactly remembering. It might be one of the most important reasons for his depression and “nihilism”. Because even so, he still talks about things like “Just give up. I did”, and “Why even try, if everything’s going to be reset and we’ll be at the start without any memory of it?”. Like, he knows of resets because he got proof of them existing, and it probably wasn’t a very nice info for him, mostly because it’s not very nice getting deja vu every time you’re doing something (I had some periods of time where I get this deja vu feeling a lot, and it was tiring at least, and not very comfortable after some time. And unlike Sans, I didn’t have the knowledge that this is not common deja vu, but “remnants” of what I did before already, but in another timeline. Dunno if that makes sense), and knowing that this is not just deja vu, realizing that you already did all that before, probably many times I like content with Sans remembering the resets, because it’s fun to me, but I really doubt he remembers them in game. Tho because nothing was confirmed yet, one thing really makes me wonder if he CAN remember resets if he wants to, or maybe sometimes with some things. Like, in genocide, when you fight him. He counts your deaths, and y’know, the exact amount of deaths is not something you actually can just guess or read from someone’s facial expression

True, I always found it strange, and it makes sense that Sans remembers resets, 'cause I HIGHLY doubt you can remember the exact amount of times Frisk/Chara/Player died​ just by "reading their facial expression", like, since when didn't Sans lie to us in the game? For those saying "she would know flowey" no She wouldn't She tried to bring asriel back using the dust on the yellow flowers with determination. She thought she failed And she didnt notice a flower missing. FLOWEY became the way he is because having no soul but still being able to be alive. Flower is the only fully successful experiment alphys made (using determination)

Alphys didn't try to bring Asriel back, she didn't even know that Asriel's dust was on it, she just wanted to see what would happen if something without a soul gained the will to live.
