Game: Storyshift - Facing Demons
Context: You have been on a genocide run, but you are being controlled by Metta. Now you're fighting against his control by taking hits from Chara, if you don't take hits, your HP will drain and when it's at 0, Metta will take over and attack Chara. You lose if Chara dies and win if you can reduce your LV back to 1 (by sparing)

If we ignore all the Fanservice stuff, this phase is actually really good, fighting back mettaton by taking the 'Attacks' instead of dodging makes it feels new and innovating for a phase, it's pretty creative for sure

There is actually some merit to it. Imagine the whole game the player and the protagonist are forced by Metta to take out every character in the Underground, and in the final battle the player (who controls the protagonist) has to try and get Chara’s assistance in removing Metta from the player’s body.
Even tho it’s stupid I somewhat find it funny, I feel like no one should really take this “ending” or “way of fighting” seriously

The dating part is unnecessary, specially considering that chara wants revenge after you killed all of her friends, yet she is so fucking stupid that she falls in love by the most generic love phrases possible. It's literally: "h-hey, you murdered all my friends and you have the nerve to call me c-cute!?... you... b-baka!!...~" Says chara, blushing slightly as her voice broke for a moment due to pure shyness, yet still trying to remain strong and determined.
Not gonna lie, the combat mechanics of this one are actually super neat. Gotta give em points for that. The writing though... Let's just say I had to get a new bottle of brain bleach.

The mechanic is rather nice since it isn't to "stay alive" but rather to get rid of Mettaton, the flirting part is a little wholesome at the start but then it starts to get a little cringe icl and the feeding part it wasn't that bad until I saw the snow part and I was like "dirty humour? Yeah nah". Although to understand the story just watch the whole thing since before this it was about killing eachother with 0 flirting or feeding.

The bulets heal here becouse on this rout of the fan game chara is helping you break free from metatons control It might still be hard to understand but if you whant to know more you can go play it yourselff or watch a playthrough

@@skell6134 the fanservice wasn't little, it straight up intruded and metaphorically pissed on the story (Both the snowball nsfw thing and the entire thing shown on that video) also feels pointless adding that in this kind of hams if you feel the need to service the fans with implied nsfw content (and sfw in the shipping shit) in this kind of fangame then I'm pretty sure you're not confident your product will actually have genuine fans interasted in it without it
I'mma just defend it here and now, The game very clearly shows that there's another entity that can control you. So no, THAT being wants to kill everyone and everything. You as the player don't need too.

I like how you have to get hit to fill your hp and if you don't get hit you lose it. Like a masochist lmao
Basically: Fight button,usually used when controlled by Metta,attacks Chara and deals damage when Chara cant dodge Act button,random talking/flirting stuff,not sure if it really distracts chara that much that they unable to dodge after that,lol Items:Stuff to heal chara if you messed up and lost control to Metta Mercy,use spare to decrease LV for each press,less LV you have,harder it is to control yourself tho since your hp pull is also lower so Metta can takeover more easily
How to win over sans: dont f*cking kill anyone How to win over storyshift chara: kill everyone, then flirt until she forgets about what you did
this is Undertale if chara was separate from you and the intrusive thoughts won in your mind.
