I worry too, but trust me, Undertale will be remembered for a long time. I'm not sure if you know Earthbound, the game Undertale was inspired by, but it's been around since 1994 and it still has a large fanbase. I don't think Undertale will be going anywhere anytime soon since it had such a huge impact on so many people, including myself.

this song reminds me of some of the highest points of my life. i used to be addicted to this game. it brought me so much joy when i needed it, every single path was different. i made art, i listened to the music, fell in love with the characters. it took me to a world that was better than this one. i miss those days, and it makes me sad... but somehow, someway, it’s very calming. those days are over, sure, but how do i know that there’s not more to come? new memories to be made? what’s stopping me from trying? well, i don’t know. life gets tough. but i carry on. i tolerate. i stay determined. i think this song gives me hope that maybe one day, i’ll live in my own undertale.

You fallen in a deep cave, dusty..and dirty..a flower approaches you. He says he wants ur soul...a goat called toriel saved you...your curious about toriel. Toriel says.. “my child...” and takes you. You feel like ur in a warm house, toriel gives you a blanket, warm and soft. Toriel says, “my child. Where have you been..” you are confused, you don’t know her. But you feel safe with her. You insist her to let you go. But she says, “no...I will not let you go..it’s dangerous out there...” then you are furious now. You are mad, you run down stairs...and you are alone..and crying in the hallway. Toriel can hear you. Your in a fight with toriel. A hour later, toriel slowly gives up and dies...she said, “be carful my child..monsters are here for you.” Then you her her...but..she shattered into ashes. You continue your journey. The end. Wait..did you really think that’s it? A skeleton named papyrus said, “ɪ ᴍᴜsᴛ ᴄᴀᴘᴛᴜʀᴇ ʏᴏᴜ!!!” Your now with a fight with papyrus, then you want mercy upon him...but he does not care...you have a fight with papyrus. He gives you spaghetti. You eat it. Your hp goes to max. Papyrus said, “i am sorry human...wait..you wanna be friends...? A monster like...me..? No no no, this can’t be right.” You hold his hand. He says, “okay, fine. We will be friends. I’ll tell sans that I made a new friend!” You said, “who is sans?” Then he says, “my brother. He is very strong...” you feel kinda confused about that. But, you hold his hand and go to the next journey....spiders are looking at you.

I still can’t believe I felt embarrassed for loving this game as much as I did when I was a freshman in high school... I was 15 and it was the biggest thing for all the nerd kids to talk about and I loved every bit of it. I hyper obsessed about the series, made art and loved every bit of the series before it blew up and the toxicity took over the fan base... People stopped talking about it at school and soon I was really the only one left that didn’t think it was cringy to love the series. My old friends would joke around about how it’s irrelevant and lame and yet despite what they all said I continued to make art and enjoy the game and the comics and more that came from it... As I became a senior I decided to keep my love of the game personal so I wouldn’t get picked on for liking it...It just sucks that something that you can love so much can bring about that kind of melancholy and yet still be nostalgic at the same time... It was a game that came during a crucial point in life. I truly do love this series and don’t regret loving it as much as I did, I just wish that I didn’t care so much what people thought of me when I was younger...

Megalovania is a banger, shame its a meme song. Same thing happened to me but with Minecraft. Frick school, I dropped out into online school, and I have never looked back. Thats good not care about what others think about you, or to at least get away from it.

This song seems like something that would play if you killed everyone in the ruins but toriel, except since she doesn’t know what’s she’s releasing into the world makes her almost regret her decision or if like you killed everyone and once you finally got to toriels home or like if you previously did a genocide route but didn’t finish and none of the monsters came out to fight you except toriel

i just finalized "despite everything, it's still you" being my senior quote. this game has changed my life, i'm pursuing an art degree after undertale reignited my love of creating. i don't think anything has ever touched me the way this game has, nothing has ever inspired me this much either. i don't regret a second of it.

Th-thank you. And to everyone who supports undertale like that. I get so excited when I find someone else who likes undertale. I talk about it for hours with them Discussing our favorite character. Our personal hardest boss. Our favorite au. It's rare for me too find someone else like that in person now... all I can think of now.. Is that I've only been in the fandom for 6 months and act so loyal to the game. The word '5 years' used to scare me. It felt like a long time. After 2020 was over, I realized... Wow, already 2021? Dang. well, its only been a full 5 of those for now. Wait.. Just wait.. How old are you gonna feel when the game is 10 years old? What about mario? That game is 35 years old... Look at that fandom... Still alive. And long live undertale... Honestly, I should have written this in a journal instead of a KZread reply... but. Thank you for reading this, I'm sorry I ranted so long.. Pov: You're an enderman in a small, obsidian room. The crying obsidian leaks from the roof of the small, cramped room. Signs hand from the walls; "Everythings Fine" 'Dream is the Reason." "You're okay." "Dont pick sides." You turn your head from the corner you're curled up in, you're green and red eyes practically glowing in the dark room. A book and quill lay there next to you, labeled "DO NOT READ". YOu grab the book, opening it to a specific page. You'd stop at a what seems to be blank page, untill your gaze turns to the top left corner. ":)" is all it had, its enough to make you shiver. How did he get it. How? You shiver yet again, this time to only look in front of you. Your tail sweeps the obsidian you sit on, laying it just next to you. A figure is stood there, staring, right at you. You don't recognize it until you freeze up. Him. The green eyed blond stared dead at you, shrinking under his gaze. It was him. The man smirked the slightest bit, you blink a couple of times to realize the man wasn't even there at all. A fragment of your paranoid mind. You let out a relived sigh, your gaze returns to the smile written in the book. How did he get it?

@Oregano the last lore stream was yesterday as of Jan 31. The plot is a bit confusing but mostly he's having hallucinations and dream disappeared from the prison while Ranboo was visiting him. Ranboo still believed dream is in control but he doesn't know how to get rid of him. Dream has written Ranboos memory book 26 times. But how did Dream know what is in ranboo's memory book? no one knows yet. Right now this is kinda ranboos theme lately. That's kinda one of your questions. Another one of your questions is the seasons. There are different plots written by one of the SMP members. Right now we're on season 3 which is kinda ranboos main story. The last one was (correct me if I'm wrong) the fall of l'manburg and the one before that was Tommy and his discs. That plot ended when Tommy and Tubbo fought dream for the last time and dream was put into prison. That's kinda where we're at rn. Ranboo isn't really ok (for roleplay's sake). He was starting to get better but after yesterdays stream it looks like he has gone back to his hallucinations of dream.

Idk who’s gonna see this but please try this out- Listen to this song at night in your room you can have your lamp on but not a full on light. Now just relax and just vent or think about random stuff. It helps me relieve my stress :) it’s so calming and it makes me feel so relieved and less worried.

Honestly, this takes me back. The nostalgia it gives me hits deeply. I usually a person who doesn't really cry much, but this just made me cry. I'm not even sure why. Was it the fact that I miss Toriel and that she's gone through a lot? Maybe, I'll never know. Sometimes I wish I turn the time to where Undertale was popular and didn't have much hate. I have a interesting story for you all, actually. This was about 2 years ago, I believe it was near Halloween. I dressed up as Chara, while my brother dressed up as Asriel. We went to this one house that was playing one of my favorite songs from the soundtrack, "Undertale." I knocked while my brother waited and stood besides me. When the door opened, there was a person who had dressed up as Toriel. The person seemed quite surprised. For some reason, I gave them a hug (I asked before I did so). At that moment, you could say I was somewhat crying. The person had actually made butterscotch-cinnamon pie, and gave us both a slice. To this day, I still remember that. This song reminds me of that faint memory.

Omg that is adorable! That's such an awesome coincidence that out of anyone, it just happened to be you guys who ran into each other. I was going to go as Frisk one Halloween in 6th grade I think it was? But I changed my mind because I didn't want the other kids who went to my school to see me. I wish that I wouldn't have been so scared. I really do miss when Undertale was popular, I have so many good memories from that time and I actually met my best friend through Undertale. This song still brings me to the verge of tears every time for no particular reason.

@@river4283 I've been playing undertale since third grade. I drew crappy pictures of the characters in each location in the game, and nobody judged me for that. Even my teacher liked the drawings! Now... I don't know anyone who likes undertale anymore... Also one year I was Undyne for Halloween, and the year after that I was Temmie.

@@Emeryisalr some people have therios about his other half being Dream, but that's probably not true, Ranboo and Dream are most likely not the same person. Dream said that the SMP will be picking up again soon and we'll see a lot more of it, Wilbur is also going to be the main script writer again

I like that you can hear Toriel and Asgore both humming. Has such a warm feeling to it, yet undertone of sadness and melancholy

i have played it this quarantine and still feel like my heart is going out of my chest while having sadness and hapiness at the same time while remembering stuff and wanting to play the game a fourth time

I just got back from an hour long walk on the outskirts of a forest. I needed to make sure the world was still there. This is what I listened to as the sky was growing dark. Also, yes, I did come here from Ranboo's streams. I'm so thankful that she shared this.

The story, the meaning of undertale cant be forgotten. In my opinion, it paved the way for meaningful games but portrayed it in a very simplistic yet entertaining way. We can't forget.

I don’t know how, but I find this song so calming, if I’m having a panick attack I calm down faster then ever, if I’m crying or stressing out putting this song on helps me.

this song feels like home, safety, youre laying in Toriels arms, shes singing you to sleep, youre feeling really cosy, warm, safe, shes reading you a book, you are tired, your eyes are closed, youre just listening to her voice, her soft but really powerful voice, fire is cracking, its raining outside, Toriel smells really nice, like roses. this is how this song feels.

When im listening to this i always think im floating through the void with a space suit and all i see is stars

The sound of comfort but also sadness, never being able to return to a time or place, but the memory brings you comfort. Like knowing you messed something up but nobody else notices until it’s too late, the initial sadness, then hope and joy, then melancholy.

This song feels like losing someone. Someone you never truely had. Someone you would give your life for, only to see them slowly drift from you. Now every night is cold. Your double bed seems a lot larger. A lot more empty. You try to hug pillows instead to fill the void they left, but the pillows don’t hug back. They don’t play with your hair as you drift away into the comfort of sleep. Now they’re gone. They belong to someone else.

What happened to ranboo, I'm confused.

its nice to see recent comments from 1-2 months ago. i miss the undertale fandom so much so i just come to videos like these just to feel something from it. so many people view undertale as just nice nostalgia because the hype from a year or more ago has been lost. i really hope that the undertale fandom comes back, if its not already back and im just not on that side of content. i miss it so much :)
