I personally like the idea of there being a kind of play on words. Undertale Disbelief: Papyrus, as the name suggests, cant bring himself to fight to kill frisk or believe that frisk had done such deeds. However in US distrust, Sans does not trust Chara and thus goes all out to stop them.

Thats one of my main points. People take distrust as just disbelief but a different word to follow the trend, but do people actually even consider said word besides from the fact that its a variant of disbelief? No. So thats what I tried to do more.

@@teckyuanwang6861 personally, I like both variants. The distrust version can just be a copy and paste of disbelief which I dislike. UT!Papyrus and US!Sans have the same personalities, but are not the same character. However, disbelief’s narrative can still apply to distrust. Just instead of refusing to believe that frisk/chars did all those things, it’s instead refusing that sans cant trust the player anymore. I feel that could be the main game while this version could be “hard mode” Edit: about the narrative, another version can be sans losing trust in his morals, which can make him feel conflicted when fighting you. Battling his doubt that he is now unsure If his feelings caused the deaths of his friends while fighting you

Papyrus's veersion of humerus is laid back and calm while sans's rage can literally be heard in every note

This is definitely a nice break after the whole DustTrust thing. I like how Phase 4 seems less like Sans forgiving the human, and more like another Phase 1 with him giving it his all to stop you for good. It’s a nice break from the “ohhh no I’m so sorry ur probably still good”

I'm glad you noticed this! I've always disliked the whole back and fourth forgiving and not forgiving cliche in most of the distrusts out there, as it does not fit the personality of sans at all in my personal opinion, so I thought I'd spice it up with sans being more confident and serious, with the goal in mind of taking you down instead of letting the though of his fallen brother and friends get of the way.

The part where Alpys pops up is so cool to how the sprite looks. Other fan games had wierd looking ones but this is amazing plus with the music in background

This is actually really good, this video shows how a Distrust should look and quite frankly like I said I really like it, mostly I like the phase 3 and 4, I like the part where papyrus takes of his head, along with sans going nuts (plus the mini game part too, along with alphys) the phase 4 cutting off in the middle of the song is deceiving and I find that really unique, keep up the good work Kasssm

I like the fact that you can kind of hear megalovania shift inside the song from here to there, it gives slightly underswap a menacing feel

This video was one of my inspiration to start making sprites To be more specific, some of my first ever (and my proudest) sprites were overworld sprites for each of the phases here

Idk I always liked reanimation for papyrus more. Dont get me wron teralovania is still a banger but I always felt like reanimation is more papyrus ish (also I do like the original ost of distrust more it feels more in line with the original ost)
