Understanding "When I Have Fears," by John Keats
I'm a high school English teacher. This is a video I made for my students during the coronavirus lockdown of 2020. If you feel I've missed something in my explanations, please comment below. I'm not gonna reshoot the video, but it might make you happy.

Greetings! I would like to say that your descriptions are simple, clear, and understandable. As a student of English Literature, I appreciate you.
Though I am not a literature student, but I really liked the video. I think it would be great if you keep posting videos like these. I am sure there is a lot of people looking for the understanding of such great poems.
I am 11 years old I got 17 out of 20 on a test because of u.Thank u
You were just fabulous to say the least.❤️
The Irish band called 'The Murder Capital' named their debut album 'When I Have Fears'. I've read it a few times after finding this out but your video was very helpful in understanding why this sonnet was so influential to them. Thank you!
Congratulations! Plus one subscriber!
Thank you, a great description to an old student here. I would love to learn more about the symbols etc of some of the poems, can you recommend any book to read discussing the meaning of of the great poems, thank you, Mark.

I'm not sure you're going to be able to find a book that deals with just the symbolism of the poems. My suggestion would be to look for a book on critiques or analyzation of Romantic poetry. Then look up each poem in the index. The easier thing may be to search each poem on the internet and then shuffle through the material looking for the word "symbol" or "symbolism." Good luck!

@@shelleycarlton7923 many thanks Shelley!
I. 💘 💘your channel. May I ask what grade you teach and in what area? I'm in SW Pennsylvania. You seem v competent and interesting. I'd need to rewatch for a test but I'll remember how well you explained an Elizabethan sonnet.
