In this lecture we learn about a bird falling from the sky during a battle. Many of us would insinuate from this that it is a nuclear or chemical warfare. Or even just bombing in general. But I wanted to mention something else that I don't think anyone has thought of yet. There was a news reporter once questioning a resident of California when they had their massive wildfires.... The person on TV told the reporter that they saw birds literally falling from the sky because the fires were so massive and the smoke was impacting the birds in the sky. So all I'm saying is it could just be fires and not necessarily nuclear or chemical warfare.

Is it possible that where it talks about Muslims and Romans forming an alliance against a 3rd group, could it be talking about 2 groups of Romans here. As we know today, the Romans are not united. You have the West like America, UK, and Europe, against the other side which is Russia. Perhaps we ally ourselves with one side. Is it possible that some or one of the tough battles mentioned, like the ones where 30% of Muslims die, or 99% of Muslims die, could be referring to the Muslims trying to invade and capture Russia, especially perhaps during the winter season? This has been a historical strength of Russia that in the winter it is near impossible to invade it by land. Perhaps we form an alliance with Russia to fight the west, then after victory, we fight each other to be the dominant power. This has happened in the past, like how the Soviet Union allied itself with Britain, France, and the USA to win against Germany, after which the USA and Russia entered the Cold War for dominance.

Episode 5 Notes: Warfare This episode will involve a lot of Ijtihad (reasoning) by Sheikh Yasir Qadhi which, basically means since the Hadith don’t provide a chronology for how the end times will occur. Sheikh YQ is therefore, going to provide his own interpretation for how he believes the chronology will go. Bilad Al Sham refers to the areas of Modern Day Syria, Israel, Jordan and Palestine. Types of Warfare during the End Times The Hadiths mention different types of wars, the Muslims will engage in prior to Qiyamah: 1. Wars that will occur throughout history until the Great War. These wars will start after the wars between the Sahabah RA: 2. The Muslims will engage in large civil wars between themselves, before the Great War: The Prophet SAW mentioned how the Muslims Ummah will split into 3 armies. 1 of them will be based in Bilad Al Sham, 1 in Iraq and 1 in Yemen. The Prophet SAW recommended that, any Muslim who sees this, joins the army of Bilad Al Sham. The Muslims will fight amongst themselves and they will only unify when, the Mahdi arrives. 3. There will be a war where the Muslims and a group of non-Muslim will ally against a common mutual enemy: The Prophet SAW mentioned how the Muslims will form a treaty with the Ar Rum in order to fight a mutual enemy. It is not specified who this enemy is. But, the Muslims and Ar Rum will fight them and emerge victorious. On the way back from this battle, a minor dispute will happen between one of the Ar Rum and one of the Muslims. The Ar Rum will put a cross on the mountain and claim it is what gave them victory over their mutual foe. This will cause one of the Muslims to become angry and break the cross and claim victory came from Allah SWT. Following this incident, the Ar Rum will break their truce with the Muslims and a war will break out between the two groups. In another Hadith, the Prophet SAW mentioned how the Ar Rum will betray the Muslims and then march against them with 80 banners, each of which will have 12,000 troops behind it. Sheikh YQ believes this battle takes place before the Malhama Al Kubra and before the series of wars between Ar Rum and the Muslims. It could even be the catalyst for what begins the battles between the Muslims and Ar Rum. Furthermore, modern Islamic scholars assume the 80 flags, could be a reference to the UN and modern country flags. The mutual enemy the Muslims fight could be China according to some. 4. There will be a Great War called Malhama Al-Kubra. It means the bloodshed and it can be seen as equivalent to the Christian Armageddon. This big battle is between Isa AS and the Muslims vs the Dajjal and his army: The Prophet SAW mentioned how there would be another Khilafah based in Jerusalem towards the end of times. Also, the Prophet SAW mentioned how when this Khilafah exists, the earthquakes and Fitnah proceeding Qiyamah will follow it. Sheikh YQ believe this Khilafah will be that of the Mahdi. Furthermore, the Prophet SAW mentioned how people will not be able to divide inheritance or even care if they win spoils of war. The reason is because anyone who could have inherited the wealth will be dead and anyone who wins spoils of war, will have no family left alive to share it with. The Malhama Al Kubra: The Malhama Al Kubra is interpreted to be a series of battles between, the Muslims led by Imam Mahdi, firstly against enemies who are Non-Muslim and then later against the Dajjal. The Prophet SAW stated the fortress of the Muslims during the Malhama Al Kubra, will be in the city of Ghouta, just outside of Damascus. The Prophet SAW stated when the Fitan take place, eman will be in Bilad Al Sham. The Prophet SAW mentioned battles the Muslims will fight towards the end of times. Two in particular are worth mentioning: 1.The Muslims will fight the Ar-Rum in the city of Dabiq in Syria. The Ar Rum here means the Romans but, scholars interpret it to mean the Europeans because they are seen as being the descendants of the Ar Rum. The Prophet SAW mentioned how the best people from Madinah would come to join this battle. The Muslims would meet the Ar Rum in battle and as they are lining up to face one another. The Ar Rum would ask the Muslims to “Leave us and let us fight those amongst you, who have forsaken their religion”. Scholars interpret this to mean that, a group from amongst the Muslims will have recently converted to Islam and were originally from the Ar Rum. Hence why the Ar Rum want to fight them as they consider them to be traitors. The Muslims will refuse to abandon their fellow Muslims and this will lead to the two armies going to war. As the battle is raging on the Prophet SAW mentioned,1/3 of the Muslim army will flee and Allah SWT will never forgive them, 1/3 will stand their ground and die as the greatest of martyrs and 1/3 will win over the Ar Rum. The 1/3 who survive will not be tested which, scholars interpret to mean they wont face the Fitnah of the Grave. This 1/3 that survived will then go and participate in the Conquest of Constantinople (see below). 2.The Muslims will fight against the Ar Rum in Bilad Al Sham after the latter gathers forces against the former. The Prophet SAW mentioned how this battle will be fierce and neither side will be victorious as people will fight to the death. This ferocious fighting will go on for 3 days until on the 4th day Allah SWT, will grant the Muslims victory. This battle is described as being like no battle ever seen before, to the extent where birds flying over it will drop dead. Scholars have interpreted this to mean that, this battle will involve nuclear warfare. In this battle 99/100 people in a family will die meaning the death count will be very high. At the end of this battle, a crier will shout “the Dajjal has come” and the Muslims will rush back to their families to see, the crier lied. However, shortly after this is when the Dajjal will really come. Reconquest of Constantinople: There are Hadiths that mention Constantinople(Istanbul) will be conquered at the end of times in the era of Imam Mahdi. These Hadiths further mention how the conquest will not happen via military might but, rather via Zikr. These Hadiths are quite perplexing since Istanbul is currently in Muslim hands. The scholars interpret there is no clear answer for this other than that, the Muslims will at some point loose Istanbul and it will be controlled by an enemy. The Prophet SAW elaborated on this conquest in a authentic Hadith, where he asked the Sahabah RA if they “know a city that is part on water and part on land” to which they all said “yes”. The Prophet SAW then mentioned how Qiyamah will not occur until 70,000 of the Bani Ishaq will conquer it without any fighting but, rather via Zikr. This means Constantinople will be conquered without bloodshed. The Muslims will then split the spoils of war between themselves. Sheikh YQ believes that, the Conquest of Constantinople will be one of the last battles in a series of battles. YQ also mentions that 70,000 here doesn’t mean it literally and it could be more or less than that amount. Also he mentions how the Bani Ishaq, could refer to the former Ar Rum Muslim converts. There is also a minority of scholars who say the above Hadith, could refer to the city of Venice rather than Constantinople. The Christian Armageddon: The term Armageddon refers to the hilltops, of the historic city of Megiddo. Most Christians believe the stories about Armageddon are fictitious tales. However, some strands like the Baptist Christians view the stories to be true. Christians from this stand believe Isa AS will come back towards the end of times and 7 years of tribulations will occur, the start of which will be the rapture. The rapture is when the Christians will rise up from Earth and meet Isa AS half way in the sky, from where they will go to Heaven. Then for 7 years there will be a battle between the forces of Isa AS vs the Anti-Christ. At the end of 7 years, Isa AS will return and kill the Anti-Christ and then there will be peace on earth till Judgement Day. Fun Trivia fact: Over 80% of American Evangelical Christians believe the creation of Israel, is in partial fulfilment of biblical prophecy and it signals the coming of Jesus Christ. They also don’t have sympathy for Muslims/Palestinians because they believe the two will be on the side of the Anti-Christ and thus massacred when Jesus AS comes. Fun Trivia fact: For the 7th day Adventists and other Christian sects, the Second Coming of Jesus AS is Judgment Day. Therefore they don’t believe in Heaven and Hell. Fun Trivia fact: Israel refers to the Prophet Yaqub AS. Fun Trivia fact: The 1453 Conquest of Constantinople signified the fall of the Byzantine Empire and it was a monumental historical moment. Fun Trivia fact: Daesh/ISIS captured the city of Dabiq, in order to enact the Hadith of the Prophet SAW. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW predicted the Muslims would conquer, the lands of the Persians, the Romans and the Yemenis. Fun Trivia fact: Anything a Sahabi RA says about the knowledge of the unseen, automatically becomes a Hadith. This is because they only would know about it via the Prophet SAW. Fun Trivia fact: There is a weak Hadith which mentions that, the Muslims will fight Constantinople three times. Fun Trivia fact: Dhul Qarnayn is an enigmatic figure in the Qur’an, some Muslims believed he was Alexander the Great, others believe he was the Persian King Cyrus. But the reality is we don’t know who he is. It could not be Alexander or Cyrus because they were known to be Pagans and the Quran specifies, Dhul Qarnayn was a worshipper of Allah SWT. Some Muslims believe he was the Persian King Darius because Darius wasn’t a Pagan and did conquer lands. The bottom line is, either Dhul Qarnayn is from recorded history or he is from pre-recorded history.

Till the last war it will be muslims and mahdi vs non muslim enemies When muslims defeats their enemies dajjal will come After a period, 1+ year of dajjal on earth, isa a.s will come down pray with muslims and mahdi, and the whole mahdi+ isa + muslims will together defeat the army of dajjal. Isa a.s will be there for only the final battle.

I thought so too, netherland would fit part water part land, though due to increasing sea level, some coastal cities might also be below sea level and need a wall to prevent flooding. Heck here in Jakarta some places already below sea level

There is no muslim country in the world anymore and turkey isn't one and as long as they don't follow the rules, the punishment etc. (Sharia)From the quran then you can't call that land government OR whatever they are a muslim land.it is totally wrong ignoring the wordt of ALLAH swt.I myself as a turk don't really believe IT Will turn in a muslim land before the mahdi comes brothers and sisters.

Brother, in the Quran, the word "Rume" refers not to Rome but to Russia. The orthodox Christians will be on the side of the muslims, NOT the Romans. And Allah knows best.
