Understanding the Importance of Neurotransmitters

Neurotransmitters are the chemical messengers that help our bodies think, feel and move. However, the levels of key neurotransitters in many children from hard places are often too high, too low and/or out of balance. In this brief video, Dr. Karyn Purvis explains the importance of neurotransmitters, both in terms of helping parents gain new insight and compassion for their children and also for understanding how they might begin to address this important issue.

Dr Purvis’ work is SO important for adoptive and foster parents understanding their kids better and not perpetuating the damage and trauma!

We have used this therapy with both our kids, and it is bar far the most impacting and sustaining method out there. Most people have a hard time understanding how Relationships and the importance of “connecting” with your child.

Not really, she’s actually awesome and knows what she’s talking about. If you’ve adopted a child from hard places. She’s invaluable! I can understand where you are coming from just because normal logical thinking children do not need this as much as children who have endured Trauma. All children can benefit from her trainings. In my “humble” opinion. ♥️♥️♥️

She’s pretty awesome. What’s great is that she talks about kids from hard places, but what she teaches can be used with most (if not all) children.
