Glad it made sense. I learned in Canada, and in the US, so sometimes I explain it a little differently than people who only learned in one country. :)

@Tin Chak Xu basically, he didn’t show us how to do it, and instead gave us all the answers because he got paid based on how his students were testing that year. If he had atleast gave us the formula, or explained the formula it probably would’ve been easier to figure out🧍🏽‍♀️

@Tin Chak Xu bro i’m a junior now, it’s literally not that deep lmao i don’t use or need slope formula anymore. i was also 13 and grades don’t matter in middle school, no one genuinely cares about this as much as u do. i promise it’s not that important lmao

After going through tons of KZread videos, finally this is what I was looking for. So simple and elegant explanation. Understood about Slope way much better than any other video. Thank you.

If you are going up and right, the signs will be positive. But if you're going down and left, the signs are negative.

Dude you are saving me right now. I'm an honors student for the first time since 2nd grade and they gave me a ton of extra work. It scared me a bit and threw me off. I've been doing worse at school but then my parents showed me this video and I understood this so I've went through your whole page and It's helped me so much with understanding everything i've been struggling with.

Maybe rises the Y axis since it goes up and run is the X axis since it goes across like you’re running across some thing or rising up I don’t know to be honest I just thought of that

Is slope a constant (because you always calculate rise divided by run) or is it a variable constant (because you can get different values for the slope when looking at different functions) but slope is not like pi which is always the same no matter what size the circle?

You are correct. Slope can, and usually is, different for different linear functions. In other words, two lines have two different slopes. But in a single linear equation, slope is a constant.
