Why the boundaries need to be repeatedly redrawn. Honestly curious.

  • @limray9239

Gerrymandering as we call it. Which is illegal in some countries. Like manipulating boundaries which will give them huge advantage based on past datas.

@@limray9239 I see thanks. I mean.. any election should be based on the strength of the candidates and the popularity of their policies, shouldn't it? Don't see how this redrawing serves any purpose.

the legitimate reason boundaries need to be redrawn is bcos of population shifts due to new estates being built/old ones being torn down. but it's an open secret that the ruling party has used this to their advantage (ie gerrymandering)

Pretty interesting now it's being filmed in the break room instead of the studio. Is this the guest lounge on the ground floor?

So it's a parliamentary dictatorship? Sounds a lot like hungaries voting system. The redrawn districts added with the 60 years of one party rule suggests to me that something fishy is going on. The first law of power is that everyone wants to consolidate it/keep it. Sounds like that party has a major grip on Singaporean elections

If all constituency in Sg were SMC, 我看你們行動黨還可以贏到80多個席位嗎😂 So kiasi ah create GRC to keep yourself in power. Thank goodness I'm Malaysian.

Wow, I love her natural yet eloquent Singlish accent. Unlike the Gen-Z these days with their pretentious sounding American accent.

What we really hate is not the accent but the unnaturalness of it all. I.e., if you can do it well and naturally then great! If you can't even maintain it 24/7 then it sounds pretentious and you should just drop it, forever. Or practice at home till you are actually good at it.
