The CDK inhibitors and aromatase inhibitors do not work through oxidation, so you do not need to avoid antioxidants.

That's true. The SERDs are a larger volume and are recommended to go in the gluteal muscle because of that. Many injections can be given elsewhere.

Thanks for video, my mom has ER/ PR positive and her 2 negative. I will discuss with my mom oncologist doctor about Serds. Yesterday doctor, said according to biospy after surgery shows duct carcinoma, grade 2. Tumor size 2.5x 1.8 x 2.1 cm and lymph node small tumor - 2 x 1.2 x 1 cm , DCIS, high grade 13 lymph nodes out of 22 show metastasis ( 13/22) , Er is positive, PR is positive, her 2 is negative, kI 67 : 40 % , comments in pathology report - Luminal B Pathologic Stage: PT(2)m pN3a My concern is my mom don't want chemotherapy she says no for chemo When i said mom oncologist doctor he says its better to take chemo 6 or 4 atleast then he said its your mom choice if she wants only radiation and hormone therapy then we will do that he said Then we discussed about ER/ PR positive so radiation Therapy to chest wall, axillary, scr, IMR and hormone therapy suggested that is SERM for mom hormone ( endocrine therapy) has i understood its Tamoxifen medicine Thanks for video, about SERDS useful for PR positive if endocrine therapy is not started and my mom surgery happened 15 days back so doctor can use SERDs to treat my mom i will discuss with mom oncologist about it. My one question is should mom take radiation therapy first is it necessary or be beneficial?? Or directly start SERM or Serds hormone therapy? My mom is 48 years old and ER/PR positive As you said in video Serds is injection given once a month. How many months should a person take this serds?? You also mentioned about CDK4/6 inhibitors this is oral medicine is it used with SERM ( Tamoxifen medicine) or you mean while giving Serds injection monthly should use this CDK4/6 inhibitors? Which combination is better CDK4/6 inhibitors with Serds or CDK4/6 medicine with taxmofin medicine is used?

Thanks for writing. The SERDs are used in people with advanced or metastatic disease because they are generally given with another medication (increases the risk of side effects) and because they need to be given monthly by injection. Of course bring it up, though, as it's important for your medical team to know what's on your mind. Your mother is fortunate to have you.
