Dr. Daksha Sharma is presently working as Assistant Dean- Placement and Alumni Relations, Head, Centre for Constitutional Law Studies (CCLS), Assistant Professor (Law) at School of Law, Bennett University, The Times Group, Delhi NCR. She is also appointed as Arbitrator at Prasar Bharati, New Delhi and is regularly invited to deliver lectures on Constitutional Laws, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), International Law, Human Rights Law, Law relating to Woman and Child Rights, New Criminal Laws and Environmental Laws at Delhi Police Academy, Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi, Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies (ICPS)- An Institute under Lok Sabha Secretariat, New Delhi and the Indian Law Institute (ILI), New Delhi. She possesses 10 years of rich and diversified experience in legal industry and academia.
She has co-authored a book on ‘Spectrum Politics: Unveiling the Defence’ with Senior Adv. Salman Khurshid, Former Minister of External Affairs and Former Minister of Law and Justice. Also, she has edited a book tilted ‘Emerging Constitutionalism: Trends and Transformations’ which discusses about the various international and national facets of Constitutional Law. She has assisted Hon’ble Mr. Justice R.F. Nariman, Former Judge at Supreme Court of India in the Project on ‘Dissenting Judgments of the Indian Supreme Court, 1950-2016’ in 2017. She has also published a patent titled as ‘Translation of Legal Documents in the ‘Official Journal of Patent Office’ in 2024. As a part of social initiative, she is successfully running 'Rising Stars', a Community Service Program in Kailash Hills, East of Kailash, New Delhi with the support of Kailash Hills' residents from September 2022, with special focus on Art. 21-A, Right to Education thereby supporting the cause of education of children in the age group of 6-14 years.
She has been awarded with the prestigious '5th Dr. Sarojini Naidu- The Nightingale of India International Award- For Working Women 2021’ by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) in association with International Women’s Film Forum on September 24th, 2021. Also, she has been awarded with Global Peace Award, 2022 by ‘Edvishan- World’s Educators Platform’ for making significant positive contributions in the society on September 5th, 2022. She has been bestowed upon ‘National Corona Warrior 2020 Award’ by Sampark Kranti, a daily newspaper, for providing probono legal aid during the Covid period
She is the Life Time Member of All India Law Teachers’ Congress (AILTC), New Delhi., Council Member at Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WICCI), New Delhi and ‘Faculty Advisor’ at Sambhav Initiative, Gujarat, Jus Corpus Law Journal Advisory Board and ADR HOC, New Delhi. She has practised law from 2017 to 2020 wherein she dealt with numerous cases in the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, lower courts, tribunals and commissions situated in Delhi NCR.
