Understanding Point Breaks
Спорт
Point breaks are a joy to surf, but rare. Here we were lucky to be in the spot for a good swell that lit up this wee gem.
In the spirit of exploration and adventure, I won't be naming any spots on this channel. Thanks for understanding.

I like the fact that you encourage people to find their spot of paradise. So long as it’s not this one.

Another awesome video Surf Rat! First time at a point break (Raglan) on a sizable swell, got stuck in the rip and taken out into the bay... had to come back in through the beach break which was closing out solid... such a noob, unfortunately KZread and your video didn’t exist so learnt the hard way lol 😂 Cheers man!

Haha.. that's funny. I wondered myself if it's a good idea to paddle back. I have been in Raglan and saw lots of people paddling back.. however the swell might have been not so large this time.

shiiit thats a long way! Not all points have such strong current that you have to get out and walk, but there is usually some. You can also paddle really wide of the waves and get out of the way of the strongest flow. Thanks for the feedback!
Hey really like the style of your videos
Good Content!
Thanks brah 🤙
Niceeeee!!!!!!!!!!
Wellcome to my country
There are year round point breaks in El Salvador and the others too
Maaate, just checking your channel for new content. Where ya been?
That a pretty choice break cuz
I'd argue that point breaks are not exactly rare. Pretty much every headland has a point break of some sort. The rare part is to find an uncrowded one here on the East Coast of Australia :)

Wow Venesuela looks a lot like Raglan
Hey man I have a question about the raglan surf. I’m a beginner surfer who live about 40 minutes from raglan and I’m aiming to get out for a surf at least once a week this year. After trying to surf manu bay, I quickly realised I should hone my skills before I return there again so I have been surfing ngaranui main beach. Usually I check swell map to see if the surf will be clean however there’s been a few times where the site shows 8’s and 9’s our of 10. But in reality the surf was rough, dumpy and unsurfable. What are some good websites I could use to check the surf forecast? How to I read the forecasts to know it will be clean, details to look out for? Thanks very much man, love and appreciate all of your videos.

really like your videos and find them helpful man but why do you look towards the beach when ur talking every 3 words .if you do it at the beginning and the end looks more dramatic hahahaha don't listen to me I wiped out on reef earlier lol
