Great video. I didn't understand how over/under extraction effects latte art? Could reply explain as it looked an interesting and novel point.
Great video, think I have finally dialed my beans in to way I like

Thank you so much 😊 it means a lot!
i got 100% arabica freshly roasted beans and only sour results with the sage smart grinder pro in combination with the Sage DB by trying the recommended single shot single wall basket. i used 19g of beans at experimented with grind sizes 5-8. any recommendations?
This was extremely helpful! Quick question- if the shot is over extracted, will the pressure be too high on the gauge?

Love the intro man! You've got a nice set up as well! Looks like everything's all over the place but it's something I wish I could have. Also, I recommend you getting a small microphone for your videos. The audio quality will sound better!

thanks, still a bit of confuse, i rewatch this video, and you use automatic scale, the timer start the moment it start to pour
can the beans quality create an under extraction... id been pulling perfect shots... then i got a new batch of the same beans and no matter how hard i tamp, and finest grind setting every pull is underextracted and never even gets into perfect espresso pressure on the gauge.

I would definitely look into maybe getting coffee with only a roasted on date so you know how fresh they truly are! Also, which espresso grinder are you using?!

Hi Dylan quite new to the whole coffee brewing.. im using a sage barista express, just mainly for black coffee and espresso ☕. i was using (sorry to say) lavazza rossa beans .. yes i know, very commercial stuff. i got some fresh beans again a day or 2 ago... and each brew is once again perfect . the previous ones muat have been old, stale or the packaging compromised. every espresso was massively under extracted and tasted horrific. not a lot of people talking about the imprtance of bean quality when it comes to brewing problems so maybe something you would like to do a video on... showing good vs bad beans etc. if it wasnt for already being able to make a perfect brew, i would never have thought the beans were bad , and i would have been trying and trying to extract perfectly although with tje bad beans this would never have been possible. (a newbie would have gave up in the end)

@@DylansHomeEspressoBar theres a small bean roasting company nearby to me... I'll maybe head over there for future batches so i can guarantee theyre fresh. how long after roasting should you try and consume the coffee... like 2 to 4 weeks max or so? crazy that supermarkets beans have a best before gerally about 2 years in future which is far too old for beans id say.
How do you fix an over extraction? My grind size was at 8.

Why do you pour your milk from one pitcher into another?

It really helps to incorporate all the microfoam for an even pour
Great camera/shot quality, great set, great presentation, great editing. But the sound quality is smelly. Get a behringer umc404hd or 204hd even. And either record with a lapel mic, or get a directional microphone for overheard boom. It will clear up a lot of the room noise you're getting, and make your voice sound more clear from place to place. That or something is funky in your audio editing, but I think it gas more to do with set up. Maybe you have good equipment and are just using it incorrectly, I don't know, but that would be my only advice, because otherwise this channel is a banger, and you should be doing way more subs.
