They were never Ashkenazites or Ashkenazians, they were not tribes ever descending from the man Ashkenaz, they do not come from Japeth. They were first called as Ashkenazi Jews in the 1100s, when the Jewish sage Rashi called different areas of Europe as '"Ashkenaz" and "Sepharad" in the 1100s. These were Jews in this part of Europe before the first century. The *Mizrahi Jews* are not the descendants of Ham's son, Mitzraim, but Jews that lived near Mitzraim (Egypt) The *Sephardi Jews* are not the descendants of a man named Sepharad, but Jews living in the land named as Sepharad (Spain) by Rashi in the 1100s.. The *Romanoite Jews* are not the descendants of a man named Roman, but Jews from Rome that moved to areas in Greece or Turkey. And, *Ashkenazi Jews are not the descendants of the man Ashkenaz, but Jews from Germany and France that was named as Ashkenaz in the 1100s by the Jewish sage Rashi.* Just as the people who live in Colombus. Going back before that - Rachel, one of the matriarchs died in paganism, yet she gave birth to tribes. So, you cannot necessarily say that she was Jewish because that involves believing in Judaism to be Jewish and she died in paganism. Leah was the right one for Yacov all along. The term Jewish was adopted by being from Judah, but it also means you must only worship the one true God and keep the customs.

If you hold a dual citizenship like one from the U.S.A. and another from Canada, you are not 50% American and 50% Canadian. You are 100% both. You cannot say that since you are also Canadian, so some American laws don't apply to you. That's nonsense. A person who's mother is Jewish but has a non-Jewish father is 100% connected to the Torah just like any "pure blood" Jew is. He still puts on a pair of tefilin every day, and not just one.

Besides, dna tests are general, genealogy is more specific. That’s why there’s several genealogical references in the Bible so that people could trace their roots.

Soon Ashkenazi, specifically from France and Amsterdam also came to live in Port Royal, as it was becoming something of a mecca for Jewish people and they were fleeing ethnic and religious persecution. @Al Bundy It is pretty confusing what you are saying. In defense of Ashkenazim, there are a lot of Ashkenazic Jews that have German surnames. While not all the men among the Ashkenazim have direct patrilineal descent from Israel (which is probably how the got a lot of German surnames), the Jewish mother retains their heritage among the Ashkenazim. So by DNA of Ashkenazim, certain men can be identified as descendants of Israel, while certain men are identified as German. However, they retained their Jewish identidy through the mother. That is a defensive point to this video. Don't confuse me with the antisemetic black hebrew Israelites of the United States, because I am not apart of them. What you need to understand is that among Sephardic populations and even Assyrian exiles that traveled from East Asia along shipping routes in the 7th century BC and mingled with the indigenous peoples of the Americas, is that you pretty much have the same thing going on. Even as Kohanim, our group (my own family) are from the staff of Joseph and we rely on the staff of Judah (Ashenazim and Sephardim) to unite us to Israel. While the Aleutian Islands and Tunisia in the North and Tunisia and New Zealand in the South served as land among the shipping routes to the Americas in the 7th century, they are also as far away from Jerusalem, Mount Moriah where the third temple will be as you can possibly go longitudally. The only history of Jews in the Americas that you may know of is after 1492 as exiles from Spain fled to the Americas, which would be among the staff of Judah. But you also need to take into account the staff of Joseph as Navajo nation and the Quechua in South America have extensive records of populations that mingled with the indigenous people that were already there 12000 years ago. Not all native americans and native south americans are Jews. But there are minority groups among them that are. Why do you think the incan were so receptive to receiving exiles from Spain? Why do you think the Rapa Nui peoples are blended with Chilean populations and Ashkenazim and Sephardim? What is the tradition among certain polynesian Rapa Nui and the history in the 7th century. These are all things we must stop and consider. The tribe of Menashe that was found on the border between Burma and India have a much more extesive history than just making Aliyah in the 20th century. In Navajo nation and even in Quechuan, there is a tradtion of Manashe delivering minority groups of people from East Asia who were Assyrian exiles and saving them from the persuction of East Asia. But obviously Manashe remained. They just saved other tribes. And again, these were minority groups that mingled with the Quechua and Navajo people. The evidence of this among minority groups within native populations serves as evidence also that the world of north and south america very much was aware of what went on in east Asia. The ice age trek across the Bering straight was not the only migration from east asia. In all honesty while I may disagree with this rabbi on other things, for the most part I do agree with him on a mother establishing someone as Jewish. It is because of this rabbi's good teaching and that fact that I can humble myself and open my eyes and look at the Ashkenazim and use their history to understand our own people better. In prophecy through the Tanack, it is the staff of Judah who will guide the staff of Joseph and we will rely on our Ashekanim brothers to help us make Aliyah just like certain Quechuan Jews who settled in Alon Shvut relied upon the the Sephardim to assist them in Aliyah.
