It is a mere myth to think that everything falls into place once you give your life to Christ. Not to scare you, but the fact remains that Christianity is a fight of faith. This fight of faith is not necessarily a fight against you, but a fight to make real everything provided to you by the cross, which is, in essence, eternal life. (See 1 Timothy 6:12)
It is a good fight because the outcome is already determined, and regardless of how it plays out, you will always come out as the winner.
You can liken the fight of faith to how Jesus took His stand before Pontius Pilate (1 Timothy 6:13), and despite being persecuted, never ceased to confess His beliefs or lost His confidence.
The fight of faith is a fight of words, so don’t expect to keep quiet and win it. Every thought that you don’t attack with the Word becomes sown into your heart and permitted.
Two reasons you must fight the good fight of faith:
▶️ To realign your life with the provision Jesus made for you on the cross,
▶️ To execute a divine assignment and fulfill God’s plan for your life
Hence, when the devil attacks with words, be sure to bring up your counter-attack strategy by speaking back God’s word loudly and boldly.
