Understand the mind when riding

Спорт

UNDERSTAND THE MIND WHEN RIDING:
Ok - I put up a post yesterday about an APP myself, @davidpingree101 and others are doing - if you have any question about the information in it or you think I have gone out to left field, have a listen to this video and see if you can find anyone in the sport with my level of understanding and explaining motocross!
I completed 12 videos just like, all single take in 2 hours non stop, no mistakes.
Some people are just using my information that I have been putting out for 12 years! They use a lot of tricks to get you to listen to them and follow them; be careful my friends! (Wisdom doesn’t need flash)

Turn off the brain and get into the flow, this is where riding a motorcycle becomes so special. It takes a couple days of riding and I find myself flying and relaxed and totally focused. Great advice to focus on, thanks.

That was short and sweet, but so valuable. I haven’t ridden a motocross bike in 40 years, but do Mtn bike like crazy and the same thought process or lack of applies….smooth and relaxed, concentrating on riding and that’s it. One thing I constantly fall prey to is tunnel vision or not looking ahead enough and just concentrating on the immediate trail ahead of me. Thanks so much for these videos Ryan and you are truly a great teacher!

This is so helpful... not only for motorcycles, but for my life. I wish I could turn off my military trauma every day, but it controls me most of the time until I pray and exercise. I've been a loner all my life, and only got worse after military & govt service...used to think it was a curse, but it has been a blessing in surprise!

I have just realised after watching this that I'm a feeler. That front end feel is so critical for me to relax, flow, gain confidence and with that comes speed. There have been many aspects that I have picked up watching your channel from body position through to the psychology of riding. Many thanks for your paying it forward from Australia.

It's funny, I don't get much saddle time, but I am always thinking about riding. When I go out I feel all tight. At the beginning of the day, I am a thinker. By the end of the day, I am a feeler. Great advice on the mind games. That works on a lot of stuff . . .

When I get into the zone, a lot of the time I sing songs to myself, when I was a little kid on 65s was told people could hear me singing “Up To Me- Pennywise” from the first Terrafirma movie going by. Keep it in my head now but it’s interesting how it works, like it occupies the inner-monologue so I don’t break out of the flow

Since I start racing, the Green Flag moment was the worst thing for me ( AND I LOVE RACING), feeling the pressure of making a good start, make the holeshot, not desappointing my family, not having a crash o bike failure. Controlling where your mind is the last pice of the puzzle. I had my own track and rode 4 to 5 hours every day. I would still fall at times, I started to analyze why ,it was a momentary slip of the mind. I was thinking about dinner while hauling ass when I discovered my mind was not focused on where I wad & what I was doing

Hi Ryan, it often happens to me, after many years of motocross racing and suberbike racing, to try to anticipate what the bike will do before it really happens. During my motorcycle career in motocross and then in the SBK world championship, I was able to be in complete harmony with the moment without thinking about things in the past, that could happen, or those that could happen in the present. I know many years have passed but I can no longer find that feeling of concentration that gave me positive tension and fun. Being completely in accordance with my mind set makes it difficult for me to live those moments of freedom and to live only that moment. What could I do to not be so distracted and grab the momentum. The mind thinks it can do it and then the body on the bike becomes rigid and there is no fluidity in the ride and it all becomes a problem that pisses me off. Bye Ryan thanks for your suggestions, remember when you pass Italy my doors will be open to chat and meet mutual friends, perhaps for the reopening of the Assago Seprio track that of the Fast Cross which will not be far from the reopening and do four chat with you. Hi Ryan and Good Life.
