    @@FionaEm Australians are known for shortening words at every opportunity and we are certainly good at drawing out vowel sounds! But schwa's are common across native English accents - they are responsible for syllable stress, sentence stress, rhythm etc.

    I must admit I would have had some difficulties to differentiate "I want to buy her car" from "I want to buy a car", when spoken fast. Furthermore, I believe they sometimes take some words up to the point where they end up "getting rid" of every consonant sound (in the UK), such as "wo-ah", instead of "water". Fortunately, we can always rely on the context, but we actually don't need to, since Emma explains! Thank you so much for another video-jewel! 🤗 I really hope you are well!
