UnderØath as a band is really human. Not only did they have the relatable image, especially with the Christian audience, but also the way their music developed and the band developed is human. I love that kind of dynamic.

Moral of the story: Aaron is an absolute madman on the drums. I would literally listen to an entire album that's just him drumming over synths.

it's really cool to hear Spencer talk about how its nice to reflect back on his past, and how this is his break up record with drugs. i just wanted to say, Underoath's music, (Specifically lost in the sound of separation,) literally got me through my addiction i listened to it going to sleep almost every night the last year of my addiction. thank you for making all of the music you've made. i really think it saved my life. i am now 3 years clean and working on rebuilding my life. Can't wait to hear the next album you guys put out!

It’s an amazing, one-of-a-kind experience that you get from these guys getting to see how basically every record of theirs was made as there really is a documentary on their channel of some length on at least the past four or five albums that they’ve made which really helps you get a headspace of how they build records as band, as a friends group, especially over the timeline from at least the first record that HAS a documentary. (I know things clicked more once Dallas left and things went in a bit of a different direction, but I even appreciate the Dallas years and those albums too ❤️) - It’s encouraging and inspiring.

Honestly, this album wasn’t my favorite, as it lacked a very specific “Underoath” sound that the 3 I mentioned carried, HOWEVER... this documentary really gave me an appreciation for this album and why it sounded the way it did. Had such great time watching! Can't wait for Eindhoven, flying half of EU for this one:) When I first listened to Erase Me I was not so sure about it but now it fucking kills for me! And after making of I'm even more stoked! Keep it up! Shame there wasnt all of you included in rec process tho.

"if you're not stirring the pot, what have you done? everyone's happy when you release it and they forget about it a month later" except I forgot about Erase Me within a few days, even after seeing Underoath live for the first time shortly before it's release, yet DtGL has stuck with me since it's release&is one of my all-time favorite albums because it was ahead of it's time&so well-written not the best logic in the context of UO's "sound" Spencer

I thought this too, the album was the definition of forgettable and barely lasted a month even with true fans. (I still listen to No Frame and On My Teeth pretty often though)

Maybe it's more memorable because of the state of mind you were in then, instead of the state of mind they were in.

@@OneEightNate it's literally a better album in every way, &don't forget that I said it's one of my all-time favorite albums, period it's watered down&doesn't even come close to the potential&longevity of any of their previous work they were truly ahead of their time

That's your opinion. I felt the same at first but Erase Me has definitely grown on me. Define The Great Line was a masterpiece though it's hard to compare anything to it.

I think this documentary made me appreciate Matt working on the album more than the initial KZread updates that they released a few years ago. Hearing the album helps too, but I didn’t think it was that great - but this helps ... a lot
