Underground Racing WINS Texas Invitational’s “King of the Street” for the 6th time!

Congratulations to Sebastian “Seafish” Robles for winning King of the Streets with his Underground Racing TT Audi R8 GT. The new setup in his Audi R8 was completed just days prior to this race. Due to rain for days at the shop, the first road testing on the new build was actually done at the event. The fact that Sebastian had no seat time with the new build he decided to have me pilot the R8 for this event. I’m very thankful for this as it’s a huge amount of fun to drive and compete with this monster but not only that. It was my first King of the Streets win driving personally. This wins marks the 6th Underground Racing KOTS title. Thank you to all of our customers who have come out to TSS “Texas Invitational” to compete for the King of the Streets.
Sebastian's Underground Racing TT R8 has our latest X Version Twin Turbo System that makes over 2,200 whp. Being a full X Version it has the air shifted sequential billet transmission, just like we use in our X Version Twin Turbo Gallardo builds. As always this TT Audi R8 has the custom MoTeC M1 ECU and PNP system by John Reed Racing.
There are so many that are a part of our Team and work hard to make all of this happen and we appreciate all of you. A special thanks goes out to John Reed for coming out in a wheel chair while still being injured to help out with race support and tuning. Thank you to Doug from Proline Racing for another master piece of an engine build. Doug came to the event to take a few rides in the TT Lamborghinis and enjoy some of his work first hand. Thank you to the entire Underground Racing crew, the ones at the event and the ones that had to stay behind at the shop for everything you guys do to make this possible. Thank you to all our customers that continue to support the events and our Team!
Our final thanks goes out to Amar Sood and the TSS crew for putting on this event and to all of the competitors that come out to race. The competition is incredible and it gets more competitive every event! We beat our Gallardo records in qualifying and in competition and now own all the KOTS event records. Tony's GTR from T1 also took down ALL of the current GTR records from qualifying to competition.

UGR = Stock looking exotics go fast. T1, AMS = drag spec GTR go fast. Its amazing how all UGR cars look like they rolled off the showroom floor bone stock.

finally someone understands. I hate when people make the argument "ams gtr is still street legal, it has a full interior plus a/c, they drive it once on the road after a big competition, blah blah" Looks like a drag car to me... not ugr though and street tires 😮

Great video, incredible action. I enjoyed seeing these cars compete. Once the R8 was under full boost it was clear that it's an entirely different animal than any I could have imagined.
Said last even that if this car hadn't botched it's run it would have won. And here we are, winning as usual.

Mohamed Abukar UR customers have no interest in drag racing. UR builds highway interceptors and they have no intentions on building a stripped out dragster with exhaust pipes sticking out the hood just because someone else has done so. Not to mention the tires... While we are at it...there is a "street" car running 5s @ 1/4. Good luck to AMS/T1 there.
Man that R8 sure is something else UGR dont play around ...absolutely gobsmacked seein it pulling on the gtr through that final gear with less power.was AMS not there?

+MrFeelPower they have theoretically. look @ the trap speed comparisons. AMS Omega's best pass @ ds event previously was around 204. this r8 just cracked fckn 213 on same distance

+OGSwagKillaP BeAstMoDe69 actually it was 100 ft less. Kevin said that keeping on the throttle for a fraction of a second after the traps resulted in 218mph before he hit the brakes...

+MrFeelPower I'm not pretty sure the Alpha Omega can catch up. Even the 2100hp UR Huracan on street tires can catch up with the GT-R. Meanwhile, on this video you can see that the R8 GT was able to beat the 2200hp T1.

These x version would break 270mph in standing mile if a customer wants to set a record. Venom gt took 2.4 miles to reach that on nasa runway

Jae Parek The UGR Lambo that just broke the record for the standing half mile hit 238.6. They would kill that speed with the correct gearing.
That's an awesome machine! Great job UGR! That's one hell of a final race!!! I strongly believe Tony's GTR is on alcohol with a cemented block. 65 psi...it had to be alcohol (VP M1). I think the GTRs already reached its peak especially with Tony's set-up. If they are using alcohol, they can only increase the boost and get a non-jacketed billet block (well, the concept is the same when stock em block is cemented). If they still want more power, nitromethane? If Proline Racing came out with a billet block for the R8/Gallardo/Huracan...then game over. I think getting the horsepower is no problem but putting it down to the ground is the new goal now. So UGR, when are we gonna see the "X" Version Aventador?

Come on ppl stop fighting about gtrs and all those car.....I really like gtrs but I love cars and I must admits this R8 is hell fast but come on....all the cars in TI are way to fast than normal stock supercars so we should admire every car in there...peace!

Why do you guys get so hyped up about cars that you'll never own? It's like you have some vendetta against a specific car and that makes no sense. I enjoy every kind of car, no matter the manufacturer or company that modified it. I just think people are stupid and have too much aggression towards everything. Watch a video, enjoy it and move on.
