Underground Electric Service Start to Finish
Underground Electric Service Follow us on this flashback from a couple years ago as we install a complete underground electrical service from start to finish. One thing that stands out is how far Tanja and I have come in developing our property.

I’m retired from an electric power company , I did discover one thing while watching, it’s far more satisfying to watch than to do! Thanks Tony for the entertainment. Keep well.

I think I understand. Those days were over 100 degrees. Plenty of blood, sweat, and tears on that job, but it turned out well. Thank you
That part of your property has come a long way since this video, Tony! Shows how much work you two have put in.

Yes sir. We have done a lot.
Good morning Chief and crew (Tanya). I particularly enjoyed all the tractor work. I don’t have a need/use for the backhoe, but I intend to help the squirrels look for their buried acorns. The little guys seemed tired? The vacuum “trick” was so clever. New to me, but I suppose so much is really! Two years goes fast, and the speed will seem to increase! I suppose if I had a Gizmo I might get more done, lots of maintenance however. Guys you are an inspiration to all us armchair engineers/farmers. Thank you so much for teaching/sharing. Stan here.

Hey Tony, another great video. I would have made one suggestion though. When we ran our underground cable conduit as we went along we ran a nylon rope through the conduit and it was easy to do. Just trying to help even though this has been done for a while. God bless you both and thank you for your service. ❤❤❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Did you see the trick we used to pull the string through? It seems much more straightforward than working with the string piece by piece.

@@TonysTractorAdventure I was just thinking that it was easier than dragging a generator, vacuum, and cords, and then running a line all the way through anyway.

I'm trying to learn something. How come y'all put those poles so wide apart when the box is only half as wide? Do you need to put something else on there or what? I'm getting ready to do the same thing you did, only I don't have a relative who's an electrician! So I need to learn as much as I can from folks who've already done it. Thanks.

A future solar system box will go there. You never know what you will need in the future.
Hello Tony, I like your videos. I like them so much that I just bought a T25 TLB. Now I am looking for a mechanical thumb for the TB65 backhoe. I went to the TYM site and it said to use a TB65A thumb for that backhoe. But when I click the link it comes up with an error page. I called my dealer and he said TYM does not have one. Very odd because it looks like the backhoe has a bracket attached waiting for a thumb. I'm thinking of buying an after market bolt on type, but before I do, I wanted to ask your opinion to see if you have any knowledge or ideas about it. Thanks in advance

This is my opinion. Don't get a thumb for your backhoe. It is virtually useless due to the limited lift capacity and the arc of the back hoe. Whatever you are trying to pick up will always be just out of your reach and will require you to relocate your tractor. Picking up heavy stuff with your backhoe is extremely tough on these types of backhoe. It has a thumb mount because this particular backhoe is used on many different applications other than just this one tractor. TYM hires this company to build their backhoes. The same company makes backhoes for LS tractor and Kioti tractor. Almost every person that I know who has bought a thumb for their backhoe has regretted spending the money. My recommendation would be to save your money and buy a grapple instead. The grapple is very useful and is very mobile in how it is set up. My advice is based on talking to hundreds of people each week about tractors and through my own experience.

@@TonysTractorAdventure Thanks for your prompt reply and for your insight on this matter. I probably should I have told you, I have a large pile of rocks ranging from 12" to 24" diameter that I will have to move. The pile is about 8' high at the peak and about 10 or 12' across. I do plan on getting a grapple, but for this task, my thought was to use a thumb on the BH. I have seen some inexpensive bolt-on universal thumbs for sale (about $160), I may try that and if it works great; and if it doesn't - oh well - at least I won't be out a lot of money. Anyway, thanks again. And keep the videos coming
Super video! Do you think the backhoe is hard for the tractor to handle? I’m new to compact tractors and have been thinking about getting one! Thanks!

I think the backhoe works excellently for what it is meant to do. It is not a commercial backhoe. Please don't get a 3pt hitch backhoe. The frame mount is the way to go.
