This solidifies what I’ve said about the last Star Wars Trilogy: Kylo Ren’s emo villain is legit the best thing about those movies. It didn’t matter how many people he killed I just could not fully take him seriously and he makes me smile so much. By far my favorite thing about the trilogy.

​@@janjanbinks1710 Well, that was kind of the point of it. It was a riff on the old "what could've happened it the nazis or their descendants had reorganized somewhere else like Argentina". As much as people hated politics in the prequels, the new trilogy had a quite interesting political background, with a cold war included, empire nostalgics infiltrating in the senate, the revelation of Leia and Luke's parentage in order to destroy her political power, etc. It basically explains why the new republic almost had no army (fear of a repetition of what happened with the clone army combined with the manipulations of conservative empire nostalgics), the plan Palpatine had to wipe out the rebellion and the imperial remnant should he "die", etc. If Episode VII had explained a little what was the deal with the new republic and the First Order people would've liked it much instead of watching everything as "just the same as when the empire had the power"

@I McCormick yeah, it's certainly different. But obviously, no one will be able to do another Vader. That's what trying something different was the right path. Besides, is a completely different character. One thing has to be said though. Adam Driver had a better actor's director in Abrams and Johnson (whatever you think of their movies) than Christensen with Lucas. Lucas doesn't know how to direct actors

Feel like it was actually a mistake not just a missed opportunity. Ren killed Han in that exact way, even pulling him in close like that.

I love how he has a completely wholesome character arc whereby he learns some true values and integrates them into his personality... and then immediately undoes all of it by doing something so utterly outrageous like killing his new friends! PLEASE keep these coming for a little while longer, they're easily better than the films

@@devan_danger preface: I am not explaining my joke and I DO NOT THINK I AM SOMEHOW REALLY FUNNY. I probably am not. Now, the core issue with SNL: To be honest, the joke I said "Ok, clooner" would be infinitely more funny because it's an original spin of the "ok, boomer" internet meme that everyone knows and hates, perfect because it also mocks the terrible, really stupid storyline of these Disney trilogy movies. It would also require SNL writers to actually think about their joke for longer than 30 seconds to incorporate some creativity, which they lack. Kylo Ren just simply saying "Ok, boomer" is not funny because it doesn't ask the viewers to interpret it in anyway, very lazy.

This needs it’s own show. I would definitely watch it. 🤣

Just A Spidey Wit Da Hoodie it was entertaining, had some action, a lot of emotion, so it served its purpose as a good movie. Definitely wasn’t the best tho, but not a bad movie

The best thing to come out of the Star Wars sequels was these SNL skits. Amazing 😂

We need a new Star Wars parody such as Mel Brooks' Spaceballs. :D

Adam Driver was really, really good in the Sequel Trilogy - for sure! Ewan McGregor was just as integral for the Prequels!

Love how the storm trooper is carrying an MP40 in the background 😭😭😭

The line of “stop moving” holds more emotion than any of the lines in the movies.

The fact that it said “hidden cameras were placed” and you can see the microphones and camera men in every shot is so, so funny. Just that extra background detail makes the skit making fun of “reality tv” way more hilarious to me 😂

Watch the sketch 'Hunt for Hill'! I think you'll like it... it has all the reality TV tropes of like a bad travel channel pilot. My favorite is when they say "it was getting dark out..." then just throw an imovie filter to make it look dark lol
