Fascenating watching this after a very interesting volunteer shift at Bellingham Washington's Ski To Sea event where I had duty on the Kayak launch dock. It was very windy. Several kayakers capsized under the sea where the water temperature was between 45 to 50 degrees (feherenheit). We ended up with 45 kayakers capsizing in the 20 knot headwinds. We had to cancel the rest of the event since staying too long in the water at those temperatures causes issues in your muscles (even though wearing life jackets) that can cause drowning if you cannot keep your head out of the water. Fortunately, we were able to rescue everyone in time (several volunteer boat owners were on the scen as we had anticipated something like this happening. In fact, while on the dock, I had to both help the kayakers as well as helping to receive and secure the lines of the power boats carrying the rescued kayakers back to the dock. It was a scare! Now, listening to this song made me feel the shivers I have experience on the dock about 5 hours ago!
