I mean The Seine River did flood in 1910 and rose over 26 feet above its average height. But that was because it was carrying winter rain water from its tributaries. It was catastrophic. So it’s possible for that river to flood Paris. Now idk if it’s possible to flood ALL of Paris to that extent and it’s definitely not possible for old artillery shells to cause a Tsunami that catastrophic but the river itself can and has flooded Paris before

In February, more than 300 unexploded shells were discovered 5 meter deep under a house near Reims.

  • @ajfeeneyruiz

The Seine is controlled by a series of locks that regulate the water flow to prevent flooding of the city and more specifically the Metro and underground system. The underground of Paris is one of the most extensive in the world with the massive metro system, catacombs, sewage, access tunnels, and underground reservoirs. The shells blowing up destabilized all that and flooded the city. The natural water line of Paris was pushed to the boundaries of the Seine by engineering, and the shells destroyed that engineering and allowed the Seine to return to its natural boundaries and flood the underground network of tunnels. Paris is a crazy place when you realize just how elaborate it is beneath the surface and how delicate the balance is with the water. I lived half a block from the Seine on the backside of Notre Dame on the Left Bank, and my street was actually two floors up from where the original street was during Roman times. They just kept building on top of the old city. So there is literally a city below the city of Paris and the original and new tunnels below that. It’s wild.

Sharks don’t normally maul multiple people, after a sample has been taken. A shiver of sharks, are more likely to attack one target, then have a frenzy, feeding upon it. Most sharks don’t mess with humans, unless they’re old and hungry, like bears. Lone sharks, may attack one person, but there’s no reason the divers should’ve feared being killed. The fact it grew so big, may have been reason enough to destroy the animal right away. Jaws has been remade, or the main story ripped off, for nearly 50 years now. The shark from the novel is a Bull Shark, the actual most deadly sharks, but they aren’t that big, so they used a great white, even though there hasn’t been many attacks by them, in recorded history.
