Is not ironic, is appropriate, the song was always referring to the enemy. All of the lyrics are Sonic's position as the winner of countless battles: "The way this story ends, becomes a part of me" SEGA has made a point to use past material to build up Sonic to be a experienced hero, both in the Comics and Frontiers.

“Running from the past is a losing game it never brings you glory” - this line fits with frieza’s fear of the Super Saiyan Legend (as well as “it’s time to face your fears”). Frieza “ran” from the legend, as in showed his cowardice. He wiped out the saiyans out of fear, and he was pretty terrified of goku at first too. And this cowardice was the losing game, as he was defeated by Super Saiyan Goku and then killed by Super Saiyan Trunks. It never brought him glory, only suffering at the hands of the saiyans he despised so much. And it’s time for frieza to face his fear, the answer to all living things that cry for peace, the Super Saiyan, Son Goku. “Been down this road before, already know the story” - this could refer to a lot of things. It’s not the first time krillin has died and goku has exploded with rage, it’s not the first time goku has broken his limits to defeat an enemy. It’s not the first time someone from Goku’s family has stood against frieza (bardocks final stand in dbz). This one might be a stretch, but it’s also not the first time a super saiyan from goku’s family has defeated a member of the cold bloodline (bardock Vs chilled). So in multiple ways, yeah we’ve been down this road before and we already know the story

@@Simperonii Also, "You're crossing the line" could refer to Goku's anger at Frieza murdering his friend Krillin and threatening to do the same to his son Gohan, as well as Frieza's rage at a Saiyan daring to threaten him.

that music syncing was really good, i don't know if it was edited or not, but dang

One big problem I’ve noticed with putting Sonic songs over other media is that there is just too much standing around and inaction going on. So while the characters are just standing there and conversing, the fast paced song is just going on and wasting it’s best parts. In this video, the first half of the song is already gone due to Goku transforming and Frieza monologuing about how he’s the Super Saiyan. IMO the song should play when Goku is ready to start destroying Frieza, not when he’s taking 5 episodes to transform

It is very on point for Frieza to shit talk while getting his shit kicked in this hard.

It kind of helps in that this fight is like a Super Sonic fight in Sonic Frontiers, with the exception that your opponent isn’t ten stories tall.

I find it a bit odd that Undefeatable plays before Krillin gets killed, I get what's going on but it also felt like the music was suppose to be empowering that Frieza was killing krillin, which as any dragon ball fan will know that killing krillin isn't really that empowering since it doesn't take much to beat him anyways.

The echo affect on Sonics fist wad deffinitly inspired by goku

imo they should've really slowed down with the amount of forms goku's got over the series. Make goku REALLY master super saiyan and make ss2 like a breakthrough and just kept ss1 as a base form to fight on and make goku win fights using other strats (maybe team coordination and other stuff idk). I think they should also make goku have normal character development instead of erasing it entirely in dbs so that u can use it as the reason why goku won instead of using new forms as breakthroughs.

That really wouldn't make sense. Hell even in Z and Super it's not like "New Form = Win" that people think it is. In nearly all of their fights it's about strategy along with power. Buu Zamasu Golden Frieza Moro Jiren I think the problem is the fandom went through a sort of a Mandela effect on what actually happened due to forgetting over saturation of "reviewers" forgetting or glossing over key points to story.

Kakarot butchered the best line from this exchange.... "What are you?!" "I am protector of the innocent. I am the light in the darkness. I am truth. Ally to good! Nightmare to you!”

As much as I love that line too, it's not really Goku. That line was the result of trying to make Goku seem more heroic than he actually is. Like Superman. "Fights for Truth, Justice, and the American way." Goku's a Hero, but it's not like he goes out of his way to protect people like that. Goku fights because he enjoys it. He'll protect the Earth, and his friends. He's not exactly guarding the public the way Gohan would later on as Saiyaman. Now, give that speech to Trunks, and it'd be perfect.

Pretty bad edit, song should start right as the combat begins. Nothing wrong with having the cutscene music at the start. Or if you wanted to keep the music placement as is you could do the bare minimum to edit out the music in the cutscene. Just felt like the entire video some fighting should be going on while the characters are just gabbing away. 2/10 could have been good
