18 years after its start in 1997, SASUKE has now reached its 32nd tournament. 100 challengers, some famous and some unknown, bring their muscular bodies from across Japan to tackle the challenges and conquer the SASUKE course. The format has remained popular to this day! In keeping with the secondary theme of the “backstreet Olympics,” people from all walks of life have challenged the Castle of Demon Steel! People from around the world have been moved and inspired by seeing challengers taking on new hurdles, bravely charging in even after witnessing failure after failure before them!
The previous tournament saw a large overhaul to the format, under the theme of returning to the roots of SASUKE. It concluded with Yusuke Morimoto becoming the fourth person ever to conquer the course. This time new areas have been added to every stage, from the 1st to the Final! Seeking to meet with global standards, the “Quad Steps” have been imported back from the American version of SASUKE “American Ninja Warrior!” We have other surprises in store too!
