    Sorry you lost Tara. I love the style of the hat you are wearing in this video at 13:20. I would love to learn more about the breed {?} of alpacas and the fiber types.

    It was very sad.🖤 But Lotus was born shortly after from the same mama. And he gave us some healing.🪷🦙🪷 That hat (and the white too) is a style I call a cloche hat. I love them as well. There are two different breeds of alpacas - huacaya and suri. We raise both but mostly we have huacaya. Their fiber is very different…haucaya is like the fluffy wooly alpacas (like Tara). And suri’s have long lustrous locks. Most of the Felt I make is from huacaya. I usually only use the suri for fringe. Like the boots I made recently - the felt cord that laces up has suri locks on the end. Thank you again for watching our videos ❤️ pls lmk if you have any other questions.🙏⛰️🦙
