When I saw the Pretenders tour this album just before the band started their encores Chrissie said "any requests". I said "Thumbelina" and I don't think she heard me but that's what they played. Also I saw the original lineup Feb 1982. And I will be proud of that fact until the day I die.

What is the name of this group? For me and millions of others, it was always THE Pretenders just like the narrator kept referring to the band.
I'm absolutely shocked that you didn't mention the reason why the Pretenders had two new members. Original guitarist James Honeyman Scott and bassist Pete Famdon both died within a year of each other, although Famdon had been fired from the band right before Scott's death. I saw a 1983 interview with Chrissie Hynde and Martin Chambers and it was clear that the deaths were devastating for them. That "Learning to Crawl" was so successful makes it a remarkable achievement given what the band had just been through and the rebuilding they were forced to do over a short period of time.

Maybe he didn't want to get into drug overdose as being the cause of death. Try not to be absolutely shocked about it since it happened 40 years ago.

@@divalivingston1664He didn't have to get into the drug overdose part. It's just that he's understating the Pretenders accomplishment with Learning to Crawl by not mentioning what they had to overcome.
