Welcome to Port Washington's Coal Dock Park. In the park's center there is a Veterans Memorial which includes many individual tiles dedicated to veterans who serves from World War II onwards. A separate memorial to the memory of a swimmer and kayaker who perished near the harbor is located along the path. The path over the bridge leads to a bird sanctuary and the south beach. If you walk north around the harbor you will come to the north beach area. Climbing the steps from the beach to the bluffs above up affords a beautiful view of the harbor itself and the shoreline to the south.
