Meeting my dad, I thank God for shielding me from him as a child. I longed for having a relationship with him as a kid but now I see why it never happened. I thanked God for methodically placing people in my life to help and guide me in place of my Father's absence.

I have 7 siblings (4 on my moms side and 3 on my dads side) I do not have 1 sibling who shares the same mom AND dad with me. Growing up I didn’t know anyone who shared the same mom and dad! I didn’t realize how sad that actually is until now 🥹 Thank you for opening up I enjoyed this episode ❤

I can relate to her story being dark skin and called ugly in school. My hair is long, and I get asked what I am mixed with as well. It's a backward compliment. We can have long hair too, the end!

Thank you guys for this testimony - We have so many stories like this in the black community and not many are really equipped to handle the ramifications of those secrets once they are revealed. May God help us to make better decisions and choices. Blessings to all that are reading and listening.

Wow thanks for sharing such an intimate moment and modeling how to engage in these types of conversations as husband and wife. I can’t wait for the day that my husband holds my hands and looks in my eyes intentionally and seeks to know me. Don’t get me wrong he is an amazing husband but I do realize some things don’t come naturally to some people, so we are both learning healthy communication skills that help us to feel safe and loved. This was a beautiful representation of that. ❤❤❤❤

I’ve been considering locing my hair to grow it but after seeing this, I want to try and see how long I can grow it without locing up. I’ve always felt like it’s in my genes to have short hair but it’s just not healthy enough to grow. I need to be dedicated and consistent.

Kiyanna❤❤ you know as you tell your story it's like I can you as that 11 12 year old growing up.. As you tell your story I can picture you as a baby girl, brown skin girl there❤. Thank you for sharing your upbringing with us. As for the the hair tips and skin giiirl... 44:02-44:10 you definitely must bring it to south Africa... I love Ezekiel's example and it's coming to pass🤗. My husband has been saying for years that i should nature and grow my natural hair and take care of my skin and I struggled with my skin growing up. Even now, but I have studied what I should not eat to assist my natural skin to glow. ❤❤ I will type till forever 😅so jhaaa man. I love your story it's beautiful and the way you tell it sis. Thank you. You are beautiful, your gorgeous Kiyanna. ❤
