There is also some nice hidden restaurants in some alleys most only known by the locals. Been here since the late 80’s.

Great video! I need to go track down Bedons Alley! Jim referenced the Ford Model A as a 1912 but Model A's were first produced in December, 1927.
My grandparents lived at #7 Lamboll Street for many years from the 1930s to the 1960s.

The person who designed the chronometer that solved the longitude problem was William Harrison, not Hamilton.

HARRISON created the clock that figured out longitude, NOT Hamilton. There are 4 of the clocks in the Greenwich Maritime Observatory in London.
It was John Harrison who invented the Maritime chronometer, not William Hamilton

He sounds to me like the Central Florida travel videographer Chad Gallivanter. They both have cultivated that specific type of radio/ narrators commentator voice.
Interesting observation from this video: Charleston, was the largest US slave port historically. However I didn't see one Black person (passersby) present in the video or any Black history discussed in the presentation. Interesting indeed. So it's city that basically accommodates white normative culture and interests?

African slavery was introduced into the new world by the Spanish, French and English. The subject is discussed in literature and historical markers all over the city. It is also discussed in guided tours, but it is only one facet of colonial and United States history. There are other historical events and cultural phenomenon besides African slavery in particular. You can enjoy the Great Pyramids, The Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal, Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, Rome and countless other historical features without dwelling on the darker aspects of them. New York city, Boston and Philadelphia were heavily involved in the trade of human chattels, Harvard University was founded by a slave trader but it is rarely discussed or even known of by most inhabitants of those cities even today. Charleston discusses the darker aspects of history more than any city in America that I know of.

yeah they usually skirt over that. about half of america's black population today has had an ancestor come through charleston.
