I think Stephen didn't really 'fall in love' with her nurse, I think he just married the nurse because he knew she was able to take care of him, and release Jane from her suffering, to make her happy. Atleast thats what I got from the video though lol 🤔😅

i think that too. i watched the documentary and the movie too. jane still said she loves his eyes and wide smille and stephen also said she is beautiful. and that's enough for me to trust they still have feelings for each other. she is very committed to him. stephen is a kind man. their splits breaks my heart tho~

I also had a husband whose name was Stephen. His health started deteriorating shortly after we married. He had already lived longer than his doctors said he ever would. I took care of him 24/7 after he got out of rehab. I loved him so much. The absolute best years of my life were with Stephen. Poor Stephen put up a good fight. I will always admire his strength and courage. God took him out of my arms and into His 2 days before our 10th wedding anniversary. I was heartbroken then, and nearly 25 years later I am still heartbroken.

Jane fell in love with a pianist who played piano in the church. Hawking fell in love with the Nurse. The two separated, Jane married the pianist and the nurse married Hawking. Both Jane and Hawking were still really close and were good friends. Hawking divorced his second wife (the Nurse) in 2006. Since 2000 there were reports of physical abuse on Hawking but he denied them and said that there was no abuse on him but when he quietly divorced his 2nd wife people were quite sure she was the person who abused him.

Jane has every right to spend her life normally. She took care Stefen all her life, but life isn't only that. Patience and courage in Jane was unbelievable, she did everything only for love. Maybe instead of her, if i was in her place i may not be able to do that. Stefen is very lucky to have a person like her.

What a great woman! And he was clearly in love and appreciative. Can't believe the hate comments about both of them. They both did their best and a damn good best it was. The fact that they were close in his final 10 years speaks volumes. Their love was strong enough to include forgiveness of whatever upset they caused each other. Respect to them both.

When you hear Jane talking about her hard separation then and only then that you realise that Jane is an angel sent especially for Stephen and the irony behind this is that Stephen didn't believe in God! What a sacrifice you did for him my lady; the whole world will always be grateful and you will always be remembered. And because he was extremely smart, he free you because he deeply care for you!

Stop judging him. His condition was pathetic. The rift between them was a result of their relationship turning marital to maternal. The nurse was looking after him 24/7 (although for money) this evoked momentary feelings in him. They even got divorced. He realised his mistake and returned back to Jane, the only true love of life. After all, he is a human being & humans make mistakes.

If so much wisdom and knowledge let you betray the person who stood by you in the worst moments, is it worth talking about it or even considering his academic excellence? On the personal front, he did the cheapest thing...it must not have mattered to him when Jane cheated with another guy, he must have been equally respectful for his lady when she lost her ways as Jane herself did when he lost his crucial healthy body state.

If Stephen can live like a normal person then falling in love with someone else is probably an argument with the highest probability of being correct, but he is disabled and needed care 24/7 in his later life and his second wife is a nurse.

When I first read about how Jane fell for Jonathan, I was mad at her. I thought it was cheating and I still have hard time getting over it. But then when I think about her situation closely I can understand how she must have felt lonely with Stephen being disabled, busy in his work & Jane having to take care of the whole family. Also, I feel like Stephen didn't really fell for Elaine but he did all that so Jane could finally be free of him without feeling guilty & have a happy life with Jonathan. Stephen was a smart person & he usually played witty games. You can see this from when he told the viva people that if he gets 2nd honor he'll stay at Oxford but if he gets 1st, he'll go away to Cambridge. From this I feel like he actually played a witty game in his marriage as well to give Jane happiness.

So sad to hear that the girl who sacrificed her whole life in name of Stephen , he later left her , fell for someone else??

To all those badmouthing Hawking and Wilde, please read Prajna Salian’s comment. It beautifully summarises their reasons. It has been confirmed by both Jane and Dr.Hawking. Love has a lot of different forms, it does not have to be confined in the form of marriage.

This is one of a kind story. Full of inspiration. 💖

Unlike other musical compositions, this particular instrumental leaves me comforted and optimistic regarding Life at large. I think it is because the music is linked with the real life stories of two extraordinary humans, who faced hardships and happiness all the same; but the fact that the shared life had been a good one in the whole and they stayed beside each other until the end; that is what gives so much positive vibe to this music. We the listeners know how it ended. That hard lives can also end well. As he said, "no matter how difficult life may seem, where there is life, there is Hope'' :' .

If jane was not by his side back then he would have literally died within the two years just as the doctors predicted. Jane was the savior. Jane was angel for him

I can somehow understand Hawking's situation... Everyone even animals..love to be with someone who spent more time with them. That was Hawking's situation. But Jane loved him unconditionally..he threw away a diamond and picked up a stone.

Their marriage was as it is going to crumble. Jane had feelings for another man named Jonathan so technically she cheated first. The only reason they stayed together was for kids.

What an inspiration he lived his whole life with some deformities it is very difficult to live like this with deep depression because these things make any person for suicide i appericiate his wife efforts who did everything for him even though this is not possible for any human to live their life like this and he was the great scientist how could he manage to do everything with so many problems like if i am having fever i am not even able to get out of my bed this is really inspirational story

I just love this couple. Specially Jane when doctors gave up hope and said he will live only 2 years. God brought her in Stephen's life to help his knowledge be revealed to the world and she stood by him till the end. God works in ways he took care of both even when Stephen didn't believe in God. It's sad that Stephen had to go through a lot too but it all happens for a reason. No one knows. I'm in love with this tune too:)

I see this video almost every day, and it renews my faith in life love and willpower....plus the music. It's really powerful....
