He's used to being alone, so yeah I'm guessing that's why? With the pandemic alot dogs develop separation anxiety cause they used to having thier owner around 24 7

Owner: "I'm calling in a professional trainer because my dog is out of control." Owner, later: "I'm not going to do what the professional trainer says because I know my dog." What you *think* you know of your dog is what got you into this mess. Duh!

PREACH!!!! Latoya is annoying as hell. I'm surprised she has a man. She's so disrespectful. Even to the dog because she sucks as a leader. Latoya is only about doing whatever she wants. Yes, Damien isn't innocent but Latoya is the worse.

As a dog Walker when she said 9 hours my tummy turned, this is what we’re here for! Use us! A good dog Walker can also support a dog training plan when walking and practicing recall to make you’re life a little easier and dogs life much happier.

This!! I am so blessed to have my dog Walker! She does visits twice daily with my puppy. Not cheap but it is a necessity when caring for a little animal baby and having to work.

@@22loloit can be hard to find someone willing to work with a dog with behavior issues like this dog. I doubt he would’ve made it past a trial run unless the dog walker was VERY experienced and used to working with reactive & aggressive dogs.

@@drinkinyawnin well of course. You make time for the ones you love. Kids, friends, animals. I was merely stating that not everyone can afford to hire someone to come and walk the dog. A lot of us are just trying to make ends meet and our dogs are still happy to see us at the end of the day.

Can we spend a moment and appreciate Monte who is happy to help his friends and even dresses up when appearing on TV? He seems like a great friend and looks dashing!

As always, the puppy isn't the problem!

Problem is they wanted a pup,know not the first thing about dogs. 9 hrs alone, disaster! Now it needs a professional to sort the problems I hope they do as they are told or this will be another dog destined destined for the pound. Sad.

I'm a trainer. I can't believe that the owners disregarded your great advice but it does seem that they saw the light at the end. Great episode!

I'm glad they eventually came on board with Victoria because they were good at training once they knew what to do.

Me too. He's a rescue, found living on the street by his foster. And he came into my life pre-trained. 😃 Not by the foster, because he only had him for a week or so. I'm so lucky to have him in my life.

Latoya seems a lot more like Damien’s daughter than his girlfriend

As someone who has adopted a puppy only a dar ago Victoria is so helpful. My puppy right now loves to jump and chew my pants and anything that he sees interesting. I’m training him not to do that. Thank you so much for this video.

That moment when Victorias Training for dogs works for training my freeroam bunnies as well :D They can do stand, Highfive, down, spin and we're working on back and stay at the moment. It's really amazing actually

That's so many dogs get screwed up and then dumped at the shelter because of behavioral issues. Glad they got help with Victoria. Prayers they will continue caring and training him the right way so he won't end up as an unadoptable dog at the shelter.

I agree that he is a fantastic dog. It is just a lot of energy! Maybe not the best match for the family

my cousin used to have a dog that was rough . he took him to a good trainer and got his dog to not be rough . most puppies rough play which can hurt others .

i mean if you know what you're doing and can afford or do different things and depending on the dog then you can have a dog even with a long job because i mean like most jobs are that long but obviously a lot of people arent capable of doing anything for their pets

I had a dog that was very food aggressive. He was that way when we found him. Eventually he let me around his food, I was the one that always fed him. He let me move his bowl or put stuff in it if I was adding something. I didn't push him, I didn't linger, I fed him, got him situated, may have given him a quick pat & an "ok buddy, go ahead", but after that I left him to it. I guess I stumbled on the correct way by accident though lol.

I experienced that with strangers dogs tends to listen better then their owners sometimes. Atleast with my dog. Because they don't have a bond there are no emotions involved so it's easier.😊

I dont really think Latoya gets it at ALL. "What's the point if getting a dog, if you cant love and cuddle with it." Ummmmm lady, your dog needs training. If he bites someone and they report it it's all bad after that. I hope she really gets it after the show.

Victoria is so amazing. I have learned a lot from her show and will try to do those with my dog that's coming to our home in few days.

I adopted a dog like this on a trial basis from a couple. I straightened her out. I exercised her, with help, for two hours a day. I couldn’t keep up and she ran away several times. I gave her back to the couple. She didn’t chew any more and had settled down. She just needs two hours of exercise every day!

I think people should think about a dog like themselves. Would I be able to hold myself from going to the bathroom for 10 hours a day.

I roughhouse with the dog but the second he tries to jump on me, use his teeth, or go near my face I immediately make a noise and disengage. He immediately stops whatever he was doing and goes into a play bow, sneezes etc until I signal to continue playing.

People she helps need to understand this is not forever. You have to do it until the dog has got it down without thinking. After that two or three times a week down to once a month, just to reinforce what he's learned. I also think a little bit of LaToya's rebellion was because of what Victoria said. I was shocked, I've never heard Victoria tell someone they shouldn't have a dog just because they work. A lot of people she helps, have jobs. I used to take my dog to doggy daycare a couple of times a week.

You must be hard of listening like LaToya 😂 What she said was that you shouldn't get a dog if you're not prepared to meet its needs, which is what she says on virtually every episode. LaToya is clueless, selfish and immature, that's like 95% of the problem here.

OMG! What an annoying woman! She knows her dog better than Victoria, but she had to call Victoria to help out with her dog. If she knew him so well, why she didn’t train him herself? I hate people like that. Such a stuck up personality. I honestly wanted to grab her and shake her and yell: WAKE UP! YOU DON’T KNOW EVERYTHING! That was one of the most infuriating episodes of the show. I hope they will upload some new episodes soon. I love the old episodes but it’s time for something new. Great job Victoria!

If someone comes up and is hovering over me constantly and hassling me and touching me as Im trying to eat, I'd snap too... yet they KEEP doing it!

I do not get why people want to pet dogs while eating personally.

It's not so much about petting them but to desensitize them to touch while around food. So that if they end up eating something dangerous you could take it away from the dog without getting bitten

Good practice for the owners' future if they have kids. Consistency, put your head in their space, and remember it's NOT about you!!!

A puppy home alone all day and worried about food the poor thing would have been worried because he was hungry 😢

Though I believe, they really love him, it really hurts how naive and unconscious that people raise and treat their dog. They don`t "understand" him at all

Thought maybe I could learn some good tips and tricks from this episode... nope, these people just had no business getting a puppy. All I can say is at least they stuck with the pup, most people who do this just dump the poor pup.

1:41 I do need to point out that this is an incredibly smart move on her part he wasn’t listening to her and in previous episodes Victoria has specifically said to people when training your dog for recall, try running away from them a little bit so that they have to chase after you it makes it more fun for them and makes them want to come back to you. She literally did this technique that Victoria has taught other people without even needing to be taught it which shows me that they do somewhat know what they’re doing. It’s just they do need a little bit of help.

Shocked people don’t read about puppies before adopting. Dogs need companionship.

You can still play tug of war but teach him to be gentle with his mouth

As someone with ADHD, I'm wondering if Latoya's impatience and impulsive decisions are from something similar. ADHD can also impair someone's ability to associate cause and effect, so it can be hard to truly understand that a certain behavior will have a specific consequence or result.

When me and my parents went to work the dog we had just sleep all day but we made sure he had food and water and his training pads to use bathroom but Chester never destroyed the house

Victoria is right: Latoya is a natural! I wouldnt be suprised if she started some helping others with their dogs after that! Never seen an owner be so good immediat3ly on the series. Maybe its her true profession and it was some mutual instinct of hers getting that dog that also seems to love learning. Of course leaving your puppy likethat is notto be excused, but most owners of misbehaved dogs seem to hate training and seeing it as a nasty nessecety but she acts like a pro training that dog! Only thing she needs to practice is patience and trust the process. They are a great coupleand be just fine.

Rally obediance is a fun way to work obediance with your dog. Even if you never go to a trial you will have a better trained dog

Now they just need to get Damien some clothes that fit…

Meh leaving a dog alone like that as a pup isn’t the worst thing- I didn’t know any better when I got my dog and she was alone almost 12 hours a day. She is a wonderful pup! Maybe I got lucky - but it wasn’t stressful. She had grandma or grandpa popping in at times if I was late at work and she just learned to enjoy her toys and her time. ❤.

It isn`t mr.blacke who is the problem and never has been, but his owners, as it often is when a dog misbehave and do silly thing
