UNCLOGGING CULVERTS IN ARKANSAS! 05/2024

FAQs/Why would they do that?! Answers
We are so glad you are here! Welcome to our channel!
1. We are in Oklahoma near the Arkansas border.
2. We do this on a volunteer basis.
3. Kim aka Mom is retired. Jennifer owns her own business as a massage therapist.
4. We film multiple locations in one day since we can’t go out all the time given Jen’s full time job. You may not see all the locations we filmed that day in one video.
5. You may see other people in our videos at times including Granny aka Sue (mom’s mom), Jeff (Kim’s husband and Jennifer’s dad), or Jessica (Jennifer’s little sister) and Lucy (our beautiful, amazing, wonderful dog).
6. Many wonder why we put stuff down culverts. A few reasons: it provides help for wildlife, we like to and it would have gone downstream anyway. If it blocks another culvert then we will take care of that too but most of the locations we visit are in incredibly rural areas where there won’t be another culvert for miles.
7. We care about wildlife and never want to cause harm to them. The only reason we will clear a beaver damn is if it is threatening land or roads that can not be accessed any other way. It may not be the road directly within sight but a farm road close by.
8. We appreciate advice in the comments. We understand that we will receive constructive criticism in the comments. What we won’t allow is the calling of names, derogatory terms, or just plain calling us stupid or idiots. We are all adults here and the internet is already a largely negative place as it is, let’s not add to it. We are people doing our best to help our neighborhood and planet by picking up trash and clearing culverts. Why do we deserve hate for that?
9. You may not agree with or like the way we did something but that doesn’t mean we did it wrong. There is a right/wrong way to dismantle a bomb. Clearing culverts is up for interpretation to the one doing the work.
10. We hope that you enjoy our videos and will keep coming back for more! Any other questions you have feel free to ask in the comments.

I saw that you had a video this morning, but some urgent weeding had to come first. I wasn’t out long, it’s May 20th and it’s 26C, with the humidity it feels like 30C or 86 degrees. I’m inside now getting ready to enjoy another interesting video. Thank you! It’s a good thing that tree didn’t fall in the water. You would have had a heck of a time dealing with that. 🥵🇨🇦🥵

Very good, that you clear up the culverts, when the water level is low. So it´s very well prepared for the next rain. Good work, ladies!

Hellooo you two! Lol…I can’t say I’m surprised you went out of state to clear clogs and also surprised you two didn’t try to push that tree out of the low water bridge! I wouldn’t put it past you.😅 Loved the old tree at the end of video. I’m finally outside gardening! Take care …👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

The reason why that culvert, timestamp 14:09, isn't flowing is, because look how deep the culvert is in the water at the entrance and look how 'deep'the culvert is in the water at the exit.

could y'all please put your title on top or somewhere not on the bottom of the screen? it interferes with the closed captioning that I use to be able to "hear" what y'all are saying.

They put it there because people on other platforms tend to steal their content without giving them credit.

On my laptop, I can move the closed captions to another part of the screen by holding the arrow down and moving it. Yes, their large letters are annoying, especially when that's where we are trying to see what's happening. CC is needed because they often talk low and only the CC can pick most of it up. They are doing better and safer jobs this month, and leaving the tines down.

We understand but we have some clients that enjoy it. The last couple videos I started a new habit of putting anything not truly culvert related at the very end of the video so anyone who doesn’t like it can stop watching.

Are they supposed to drive the truck into the river to drag the tree? The sides are too steep, and it's way too far in there, for them to drag it from on top of the culvert. It will just get stuck under the road/bridge. Unless D-shackles can create wormholes I don't think that's all they will need.
