✅There were many strange haunting and paranormal encounters in Singapore but it seems there's been a cover up. Weird sightings, mass hysteria, UFO sightings?! I found this coffeeshop talk (literally) with Uncle Patrick to be such a delight that I needed to share this with the rest of you, sharing some supernatural and paranormal stories from his experiences.

With the gaslamp and an incense stick. Charge 5 cents for storytelling. Back in the days where most people don't even have television at home. Need to go community centre to watch. Storytelling was our only source of entertainment back then. And Uncle Patrick is sibei funny lah.

In the good old days, people tend to see hantus more frequently because the people then followed closely their ancestor's time tested belief/traditions, were very innocent, adventurous and quite brave, which makes sighting stories very exciting. Now, in our modern society, people tend to rationalise every sighting, to eliminate any remaining doubt and try to "educate" the public with their own limited knowledge of science. "Seeing is believing" became their mantra. As such, when Eugene invited guests, who lived through a certain time era that is now long-gone to share their personal encounters (no AI, IT or String theory then) I tend to sit up straight, turn up the volume and listen attentively.... and this is one of them.

@nightowl4121..in the 50s my grandpa used to speak about unusual events that occurred in our hometown 10 hrs away from the capital city. Having been a logger he and his team had interactions with supernatural entities guarding the forest. I clearly remember the "personalities" he mentioned which they now call sasquatch. Doppelgangers. Fairies.. Shadow people etc.. The old folks including my grandpa talked about their experiences with some amount of pride along with fear because they believed they were given the honor of interacting with creatures of other dimensions which meant them no harm in actuality.. As youngsters foraging through the forests we were always reminded to pay respects to the spirits (which we still do up to now.. Respect territorial boundaries)love your commentary btw

My most recent ghostly encounter was at the General Hospital. It was close to midnite after I have finished visiting a ailing relative. I was on my way from the ward to the elevator, and the corridor was dead quiet and spooky. The lighting was not bright as some of the lights have been switched off to save power. After the elevator door opened, I was about to enter when I saw a lady in patient gown standing at the far right corner. The lift was extra long as it was designed to fit in the mobile beds to ferry patients around. I can't explain why I have this uneasy feeling when I saw her. Her face was pale gray, her eyes were staring emotionless at the floor totally unaware of my presence. I stood at the spot near the button panel and push the 'G button to go down. A while later I noticed from the corner of my eye that the lady patient was looking in my direction. Curious, I turned and looked at her. My heart missed a bit when I saw her wide open eyes staring at me! Her mouth was agape. I began to feel scared. All kinds of thoughts raced through my mind at that instant. Did this patient just escaped from the psycho ward? Her face looks terribly scary. Then things took for the worst when she broke into an errie smile and began stumbling slowly towards me. All this while I was thinking she must be a psycho patient who was looking to harm someone. I was thinking she might be looking to scratch me with her finger nails, or she may have some sharp weapon with her. I was thinking how to defend myself in case she attacks me. In that few extremely confusing moments the lift suddenly jerks. The lift doors opened. Outside, I saw an Indian man in staff uniform waiting to push an empty mobile bed inside. I stepped aside to allow him to move the bed into the lift. I turned and looked around for the lady patient. Surprised, she was nowhere to be seen. I swear I did not see her leaving the elevator. When the Indian staff saw me looking around, he asked me what happened. I told him that a lady patient who was with me inside the elevator had just vanished without a trace. Unshaken by what I have told him, he said: "Sudah biasa la. Selalu ada punya" Huh??? I replied. That means this is a normal occurrence in the hospital???

Now I have difficulties writing my ghost encounters after my Samsung Galaxy 19 inches tablets went belly up half year ago and I wasted many hours writing in a 10 inch lousy China tablet that I literary give up writing my ghost stories. I also have ghost stories from the Strait in the sixties. Many people in my generation have ghost encounters especially the taxis drivers during the Seven month Hungry Ghost period and also during the times when the Government is exhuming the graves across the country. Time where children's like me will playing marbles, catching lokang fish, fighting spiders and flying kites and listening ghost stories from teachers and friends. And of course borrowing alots of ghost books from the National Library at Stanford Road. Hi Eugene When I first came across Supernatural Confession, I told myself that I would like to appear in the video as well. I feel that the encounters narrated by some will not scary enough. I feel that encounters with ghosts or entities should give viewer a fright and terrors of their life as in the sixties where ghost stories told by the Strait Times give the whole of Singapore with such sensational news that it become a topic that people want to see for themselves. I am fortunate to come to experience with ghosts and queer happenings in my workplaces in the seventies as I work the night shifts. That is first time I am beginning to see what ghosts and entities look like so I want to share with your viewers. I email you many times without success that is when I started writing stories in the comments on video that appeared as I want to share with your viewers the experiences of encountering with ghosts is like. Anyway to appear in the video now is like repeating myself again and viewers will not enjoying it as they already read my stories. Your Sincerely.

I saw the same tall long legged spirit when I was near the entrance of my secondary school going home at night in the late 1980s.... I caught a glimpse of it right under the lamp post beside the tennis court, its almost as tall as the lamp post ... but somehow I braced myself and continued walking past it .... In my quick glimpse of it , I kind of saw that its wearing something like a swallow tail tuxedo attire with a tall hat ... like the guy in Darlie toothpaste ..

When I was around 5 years old, my family used to live in one of the old prewar houses. I used to sleep on a campus bed in the hall. The hall is only lit by a small kerosene lamp. One night I suddenly woke up and sit up on bed. Just in front me about 6 feet away there were two women figures standing. They were just standing still looking at me. They were dressed in normal clothes. One was dressed in a short green sleeve shirt and pants while the other was dress in a one piece floral dress. Their faces were quite blur due to the very dim lighting. But I didn't see their legs below the knees. At that time I didn't know they were ghostly apparitions. When I called out to them, they didn't answer. Instead, they slowly turned around and walked towards the kitchen and vanished into the darkness.

Should be in the same place, Sungei Kadut. Got sth mimic my ah ma voice at night and knocking at the door. My ah kong told him to ignore it. My dad also recall that he heard sth zooming smoothly on the road outside the house (mind you, last time kampong road are uneven). The thing went and then come back afterwards, if i did not recall wrongly based on my father story. When my father was a young adult, he once walk a 5 hour journey along the old orchard road back home (he used to live at Marsiling) which took like an entire night. Then he saw sth, you know those olden times Singapore where buckets filled with feces are cleared by those people. He knew sth not right because there's already modern standard toilet and such services have already been stopped. Other than that, if I did remember correctly, my dad also got a ghostly encounter when he was serving army. Heard some footsteps and he took out a 经书 (jīng shū) and the footsteps stops

In my younger days that time I very scared of hantu but more scary things were human beings. Those days I and my mum live in a quiet kampung surrounded by rubber trees and thick bushes without electricity and water. We are using gas pump for lighting. Today, I am fear most are toxic people than hantu. Until today I don't see real hantu, but I can feel things like something press onto me during my short nap.... that was long time ago when I was at 18yo. Most important things in this life is to be happy and never do bad thing to hurt people. Metta ❤🙏

Yes it was electrifying news in 1968. Ran in the papers for a few days with sketches of small space ships.and little green aliens as witnessed by the students and people. People said that the aliens would back away and vanish when someone tries to apprehend them. People of those days believed in spirits and are not familiar with aliens. That’s why they think it a ghost child. Ask the older folks I’m sure many of them still remember these incidents. It made a huge impact on me .

The ACS story was reported in the newspapers. I was then in primary school and my classmate showed me a copy of the news article. I also heard this from my cousin, same age as me. He was then studying in ACS (Coleman St)

It was in either 1968 or 69. I tried looking too but nothing. Just talk to the older folks. I’m sure some of them still remember. It was big news back then to warrant it to be in the papers for a few days.

Why, if ghost is real, why not the ghost communicate with their families, why ghost just pretend, don't care, is the dead left over energy field, run by subconscious energy 😊

Other than the first about his deceased aunt that sounded believable the rest gradually turned fictitious and far-fetched. Urban legends? Good in a way he didn't get to see Pontianaks.

Stories from the last era would generally be considered be fantastical when viewed through the modern lens. The many old folks I spoke to, their experiences back then are not likely to happen to us in today’s generation because of our beliefs and filter of our mind. If we believe that hauntings have to fit our mental framework, then that explains why we don’t experience hauntings from other cultures and generation

@@SupernaturalConfessions Couldn’t disagree more and your efforts in bringing them across are truly remarkable. Ghost stories from the distant past particularly from the pre-war to the eighties never failed to grip me. But if we have to sit through another day revisiting Pontianaks, Toyols, Hantu Teteks it would soon become a drag. Apparently, my true life encounters had me witnessing the other-worldly in a totally different atmosphere. A floral printed blouse instead of the usual white we are all so accustomed to on a scorched lost female spirit. How about that? :)

@supernatural confessions, Bro could you do the 1960's UFO sightings please. I did a little google search and could not come up with anything? I am very much interested in helping you out should you need any assistance. I would love to see this come to pass. i am very much interested in the UFO/UAP phenomenon because personally i have experience encounters of the 1st kind in SG. It never occurred to me that there were such cases in Singapore until I saw this video. Kudos for the good work. Keep it up bro.

Here's something funny to think about... After rewatching the UFO incident, I wondered if the lading of the UFO/UAP had anything to do with the tremendous technological advancements of SG after 1965. As Unkle mentioned, they attempted to catch the "ghost child", but it retreated back into the woods.... Never to be found.............. Lol..... I know right....
