I like the way Dutch is standing there. Its like he was on the other side of camp minding his own business reading a book or smth and as soon as he hears criticism he teleports to the source of ridicule. Honestly really speaks to his thinly veiled insecurity. Its why blocking is also good for conveying character dynamics.

Uncle has more common sense than he lets on
Dutch's fake laugh is so unsettling.
I love how Uncle takes death threats from members of his gang with a grain of salt. 😂

He knows he's in a prequel and he's exploiting every single drop of that.
Uncle is one of the most intelligent characters in the gang.
The fact this isnt an actual cinemátic, but still looks like one, talks about how they took care of details in this game
I fucking love foreshadowing in this game
That laugh is what you hear seconds from being unalived
From start to finish of the game we could see Dutch slowly change as a person. He let stress get to himself and to take over his used to be charming self. The game is really well written and acted.
This is almost like a conversation between crazy people
This right camp convo here proves how detailed rdr2 is from Dutch’s annoyed laugh that someone can see right through him to his suppressed facial expressions that he wants to kill uncle so badly but can’t this game is truly a masterpiece
Uncle the champ of defusing situations that couldve gone really really badly
For someone with "Lumbago" he is wise in perception
I like the way Dutch is standing there. Its like he was on the other side of camp minding his own business reading a book or smth and as soon as he hears criticism he teleports to the source of ridicule. Honestly really speaks to his thinly veiled insecurity. Its why blocking is also good for conveying character dynamics.
Never did I understand Dutch's real desires until now. Uncle puts it too well
This is why I love antagonizing Dutch any time I am in camp. Not only is it funny, it's absolutely cute, in an angry and chaotic chihuahua sort of way.

Big ol' Dutch Van Der Linde
Its these little moments where you realize dutch hated being called out on his bs
Uncle is so good at playing dumb as hell while being really smart and analytical. He sees through people really well.
Uncle stuck around for as long as he saw some hope, when Dutch changed and started becoming mad instead of an idealist, that's when Uncle left. Dutch being an idealist and hopeful man was what kept Uncle around.
Hosea and uncle have been my favorites since day one
Nobody talking about the cinematic angles in this. Someday should make an rdr movie with that skill
Dutch showed mercy because he knew, sooner than later, that lumbago would catch up to Uncle
he looks like rdr1 dutch there, probably intentional to show him going insane

Ikr that's crazy 😮
I honestly think Dutch did want to kill him there and if it was endgame Dutch he definitely would’ve.

Nah. Uncle would’ve done him “One Shot kid” style. Even with lumbago’s crippling hold on him

The jester is the only one who can insult the king without getting his head chopped off
That look In Dutch's eyes gave me shivers😅
This is a camp random encounter but the way you edited it makes it look like a real cutscene and you nailed it
I fuckin love when the camp conversations get edited to be almost like an in game cutscene
Uncle was the courtroom Jester of the gang. He would tell the truth using jokes so people didn't take him seriously.
Dutch lost 20% sanity with that laugh 💀
Uncle is lazy, but he got streetsmarts and the wisdom of the old.
Lumbago discovered that Dutch always has a plan
Bruh was given lumbago as a nerf, otherwise he'll be too powerful to roam around us mortals.
This reminds me of the conversation between Shane and Dale in The Walking Dead season 2
Missed so much camp events..just want to do another play through for this reason only
Did nobody else get goose bumps when Dutch said that?
Love how Dutch is wearing the Rdr1 outfit in this scene
Uncle was right about Dutch. "There goes the greatest man we know, and even he's lost." He spends the entire game lost, trying to find ways to keep his gang together and therefore, his way of life alive in a world that had moved on. Dutch would never truly admit that his time had come to an end, until his final moments with John on top of that mountain. It's sad really.
I love how they animated Dutchs face when he wasn't even in the conversation. This isint even a cutscene it's incredible.
