I just got this game and your vid is helping me to get started. TY. I do think that you needed to play the "Perfect Memory" at the beginning of the encounter phase, so you wouldn't have access to the cards discarded this turn, only cards discarded from the previous turn.

great playthrough. On the dark elf you forgot to take the shield down first. That would allow her to hit you again. Otherwise excellent play.

I really enjoy watching you guys play solo adventure games. I don’t have many friends who like board games so I usually play them by myself either by playing a co-op game with multiple characters (or a single one) or a game designed for solo play. Have you guys done a video on best solo games?

Nice to see another playthorugh of Unbroken. It was Colin's playthrough last year that got me into the debacle of the Kickstarter. Anyway. At 24:13 you do lay of the land. I think you can only use each skill once per level.

Sorry we indirectly nudged you into backing and not receiving :( Per your question, you can use the same character ability multiple times per level, as long as you don’t use it from the same response trigger. So I couldn’t use 2 cubes to prevent 2 hunger at the end of a level, but I can use lay of the land at one point, then use it again later. As proof of this, consider that you have 4 cubes in level 4, but only 3 character abilities. If each ability could only be used once, what would the 4th cube be for? ;)

Nothing in the rule book, or even the P and P rule book. ..... Your explation makes perfect sense. Must be one of those imagined rules that so often we play with in our games!!!

Just got the game also. Couldn't you have reduced your medium effort into small effort to have enough effort to survive. You would have killed the wyvern but you still would have died from starvation... Nvmd. Man... This game.puts you through it. I have only won twice in the double digit times I have played it. I've had the game for two weeks. There's enough to think about to make it a good solo game. It doesn't take up too much space and I'm looking forward to the forthcoming expansion. It's only after a few plays that you can begin to see how quickly small effort disappears, and how the hunger phase has an effect, and what hope some cards can give! Thank you for a good video. Another video I watched didn't include the use of the character ability cubes! The Brawler has great abilities! Extra damage for wounding (so some enemies with 2 health can be wipes out in one go with just bare hands, for example. Strangely, I find the monster cards TOO big. They slide about, not helped by a slight bend. As usual, Mike, you are my guru. Best wishes. Jonathan

Yeah, it's not the meatiest, most infinitely replayable game ever, but it's fun and quick. Glad you are enjoying it, and I am in for the expansion as well whenever it materializes!

@bangss3619 it can be pretty fun, and also pretty frustrating. I culled my copy eventually. But if you can get it for a good price, it’s worth a try

It’s nice to see the final production version. I vaguely remember Colin showed an early print and play version. I’m still waiting for mine, though also still looking forward... Last update I got was a ship tracking number (yes an actual ship!), which shows it landed in the UK on 26th Oct. Maybe get it soon?

Friday is a mixed recommend for me. It is a TON of fun for a while, but eventually it'll feel like a "solved" puzzle. I traded mine after a bit. I hope you get to play Unbroken soon!

Nice gameplay. After your Review I bought the game. I prefer to put aside the bad faith of the publisher. It seems to be a great solo game and the designer deserves it. Recognition for it :) I just hope one day some mini expansion comes. In your play you could Avoid being ambushed by revealing 2 extra cards with orienteer :) .Well fun to watch

I just receive finish asking if it was possible to use the Orienteer in this situation and it seems that cannot take an action once you've started drawing until you've fully resolved a card. (unless it's a response that works at that exact time). At least that's the answer I got at BGG

Expansion? I heard Artem had designed some prototype new characters, but I don't think there is anything else coming out for this game, likely ever because of the wild Golden Bell situation and all the fallout from that

Sean Morgan you’re right!!! My mind is blown! I’ve been misleading my D&D groups for years!

Hunter/Huntress is the worst class (i track my games and so far I have the most losses with Hunter). Brawler is the best for combat and combat is the most dangerous part of the game. So Brawler doesn't have utility abilities, but it has great combat powers like re-rolls and decreasing enemy damage.

i like play with Huntress the ability too see top 5 encounters is pretty powerfull in the right moment

@@henriqueribeiro4954 Yeah scouting is cool, but you really need it in the first 2 "acts" when you don't have a lot of time, but then you have only few uses and if you use them there will be not enough for Dodge against boss or additional Skill choice after, which are the better uses. Anyway I retract my previous statement that Hunter is the worst class. It's not about the class - it's all about how the run develops. Because since then I achieved with Hunter my highest score so far (it will be hard to beat it) of 67 points on Normal. Got Sword (the best weapon imho) and Basilisk as a final boss (I scouted him early and stack some Iron to negate his stun). But the main reason for that was that I finished with 4 treasures - they just accumulated naturally (drawing those cards with no better alternative to choose from) and later I couldn't change them for anything else, so they became my record score. So Hunter is my champion now haha. Hey Henrique, I just bought a new game (Co-op 1-4 and great for solo) and I can't recommend it enough. It's amazing. It's called "Set A Watch". @@Michael.Virtus hahaha its a really good score, congrats! Thanks for the recommendation! I bought deluxe version i feel weeks ago. Now im playing on hard mode. Its Fun but sometimes when Monsters and dice go agaist you i feel that i Will Lost. There are expansion coming soon but is standalone type and i dont really like this style of expasions. Probably after few months i sell my copy

I can't criticize people who never got their game (or had to pay extra to get it shipped) for rating the game based on that. It would certainly have frustrated me if I had gone through all of that.

I just finally got round to playing this, 20minutes later im done, was pretty easy, very quick and sadly very cheap, the components are so cheaply made, ive played 20mins and seen all that the game offers, not my cuppa at all.

That's a bummer! Not my experience at all, so sorry to hear it went poorly for you. I found the heroes and enemies quite a bit different, which I think gives good replay, and for what it's worth, I shuffled the cards without sleeves for all my games and found the card quality to be pretty solid.

Too quickly explained for me... i’m regretting this purchase. Too much going on here and you arent explaining any details but thats ok I suppose. This video would be hours if all the details were explained :)
