The spare parts are suppose to come with the bike, but dealers just take it and sell it to someone else, and then charge you almost a grand more than they payed for it

That's pretty nice that Yamaha gave so many spare parts with a new model YZ. Haven't heard of that many items coming with a new bike here in States, maybe that is something new in the Euro/German market. Anyway, that's super cool!

Yes it's normal to get the extra parts with it only problem is when you buy a brand new bike most shops don't want to sell it in a crate so they can keep all the extra stuff,then when you get to buy a rebuild kit they will sell you your own kit it's a scam by the shops.

That's so awesome Yamaha gives you all those extra parts with the bike. Who knows maybe every manufacturer has been doing this for years but the dealer keeps them. Ya know so they can sell it back to you for $232!

yz250 is ad excellent well refined machine. I have a 2017 model YZ 250 2 stroke and have only put just over 60 hours on it and it runs excellent no issues

In Canada you always get a fresh top end an gasket kit and other goodies with a brand new bike

My 2003 cr250 came with a full gasket set, piston, rings, carb jets etc when I bought it new

yea it is pretty normal,, like when i bought my new yz250f and yz125 on 2016, all these spareparts were included inside, but in the standard sizes, if you do big bore on your bike, then you wouldnt really need those standard piston set.

Just got a 2019 yz 125 didn't get shit for spare parts... That's badass especially that spare piston and rings. Killer!

Sure, we all wish that Yamaha would update this model, but it's really not necessary, most of us can't ride this bike to its full potential as it is. So instead of continuously updating these bikes like many other manufacturers do, they keep their bike roughly the same, with minor updates here and there, and this makes it easier for people to do what they are doing right there. To transfer your suspension over that you had much time and effort put into to tune it and make it perfect for your riding style, weight, and ability, as well as other parts that can be transferred straight over to the brand new machine. I have three yz250 (of many different year models) and I do the same thing, easily transfer parts over and not have to take parts to some mechanic to have them customized or whatnot. We might wish Yamaha would update the 2-stroke line, but for whatever reason they do not, and these bikes are still excellent, even though the technology is not "brand new." Who really cares. None of us (regular people) can ride these bikes to their full potential anyway. If you owned a brand new 2019 KX450, would you be able to transfer your very expensive suspension, or your exhaust system, or even your wheels, over to it from your previous model KX? Probably not. Same thing from any other makes & models- that are constantly being updated by the manufacturers. This stuff is expensive. The sport is expensive. it would be nice if the manufacturers would consider that before constantly updating their models that we really can't ride to their potential anyway. Keep the bike the same for a few years, no one will care, put bold new graphics on it. That's really all anyone cares about. It's how things used to be. And we all were plenty happy with it. Instead of having to pay $12,000 for a brand new 4-stroke 450. Which is also ridiculous. As well as having to then update your 'brand new' bike because none of the previous parts will fit on it, you're talkin a ton of money just to put exhaust, suspension, bars, levers, wheels etc etc on that brand new fancy bike because your previous parts will not work on it. And that is also ridiculous.

most shops keep the parts for repairs so they dont have to buy spare parts and they know what the parts go to if they come right with the bike

John Ramalhete there was a sticker on it that had the dealer name something marine you could probly go to your dealer have them order the bike and have it shipped directly from Yamaha to your front door that show up at the dealer the same way in a box the dealership just rapes you on building costs

You can almost hear the dealer telling you how hard it is to get them parts and even make you wait a week to get them just to bump up the price. And yes i have had a little bit of mechanical knowledge shall we say to know what i'm talking about, i even quit a job for being told to rip a customer off,

2015 and newer also have the wider platform foot pegs not the pissy little ones they had before. 2016 they did a new chain as well, all small changes but still things you don't need to upgrade anymore.

yes its normal to get all thoses parts with a new bike but dealers rob them and sell them in separate in the parts department and make a huge profit selling them back as service cost to the customers

Took mine to get serviced at my local dealership and couple years back and they were stolen from the dealership at night. Didn’t give us anything in return... luckily they were found a couple months later :))). And the dealership shut down about 6 months later.

I hope you realise in 2015 they started to use to 4 stroke version of the KYB SSS forks. if u use your 2009 forks you will be down grading. Better to re valve the 2019 gear. I have a 2015 yz250 and was on the 2014 yz250 previous

RMZ’s KXF’s come with water pump gaskets, stator cover gaskets, tappet cover gaskets and filter cover gaskets, but the KTM SX’s don’t come with any gaskets nor piston kits
