Unboxing: The Wheel of Time - Complete Set of 15 books

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I received these books (in Denmark) 3 days after they were shipped (from USA). That's super fast! I bought these from seller: MF USA on Amazon for 450USD + VAT and Shipping. Two of the books were a bit damaged. One had a bump on the lower spine (not too bad), and the other had a tear both in the binding and the dust-jacket. The seller replied within 24 hours, and offered to send a replacement for the torn one, and offered some dollars off, for the bump on the spine.
Otherwise, all books were brand new, and as descibed, and I received all 15 of them.

I realize that this set is now sold out. As a cheaper alternative you may like the Paperback set instead: amzn.to/3G8Ynce (affiliate link).
It's also possible to listen to the series on Audible, read aloud by wonderful narrators Michael Kramer and Kate Reading. Here you can get a 30 day trial, and the first book in the Wheel of Time series (The Eye of the World) for free: www.audibletrial.com/kevin

Interesting. I know without looking at mine that the original US version of Path of Daggers was much thicker than shown here. It was inflated in font size and page count. Here you can clearly see how it's shorter.

I bought all my hardcover editions from Amazon individually over a few months last year. I had to replace 3 of the 15 due to torn bindings or damaged pages. Totally worth the extra wait! Also, despite owning these books and going through a similar experience you’ve made this video quite suspenseful lol

The print year is not in the books, but they are printed after Jordans death, so they can be no more than 15 years old - and they seem younger. But I don't know when they were printed, or if they still print them - but I didn't see the set a lot of places online, so I'm not sure they are still in print. 😊

@@joeymarchesi All of them says 1st edition inside. But they can't be printed in the 90s, because some of them have Robert's dates in them 1948-2007. So I'm guessing the 1st edition have been in print fairly long - at least until 10-15 years ago. But they might still be in print - I simply don't know :)

well careful with those books, not talking about the shipping damage. i have lost several of my wot books over the years due to covers falling off and chunks of pages breaking loose from the bindings. to a large extent i don't really blame tor although i don't think they do the best bindings these books are also huge and a 14 year old me wasn't the most gentle when reading. but they are notorious for falling apart after repeated re-reads.

Well unless they're a first edition they instantly lose around 25% value after you bought them. I don't know anybody who will pay MSRP for 2nd hand books? Up to you of course, just seems like a completely unnecessary risk to me because the books certainly aren't for everybody. @@KevinGoehler
