Salute and Props on the new purchase. The LV Monogram Macassar Christopher is a huge FLEX! Nothing Low-Key about this one! I have the same backpack and I love it. I purchased mine late 2020. Date code (27th week of 2020) to be exact on the mfg. date. Your bag probably has the IR chip since it's newer. I had the same concerns as you regarding the shoulder straps, but it has held up well after numerous travels on planes while under the seat, overhead compartments, uber/lyft trunks, airport / cruise ship security belts, etc... No issues, rips, scratches or tears to report. Leather shoulder straps would have been ideal, but...... Enjoy.

Thank you! And thanks for sharing your experience with it! Yes, mine has the chip in it. Kind of innovative. LV is definitely my favorite designer. They’re a one-stop shop. What’s not to like?!
