I have an Oasis and I love it so much! I've had it about 18 months and bought it directly from Amazon and I've never had any issues with the battery and its never glitched when downloading anything. I haven't actually used it for the past 5 months as I've been reading physical books and my Oasis has been chilling at 70-something % on standby without drainjng itself. I also never put it on airplane mode.

Love love love my Oasis too!!!

I love my oasis.. never had problems with the battery. I always keep it on airplane mode and it has lasted months without a charge. Yes the micro usb sucks, but i charge it every few months and it charges fast so its not a problem for me.

Would love to see a comparison video between all of the kindles you have rn! The Paperwhite def has like the longest battery life, I both use kobo and kindle since I live in Europe, and I literally have to recharge my kobo every night while my paper white is just chilling for weeks at a time, the difference is wild. Also the skin and pop socket are soo adorable I have to check those out as well🥰

I grew up with the Nook too! That was my first love (ereader).

I love my Oasis, it has my favorite eReader feature: physical page turn buttons. I’ve had mine since 2019 and have never had any issues with the battery life. It lasts weeks.

Oh no! Amazon recently announced an event they’ll be having either this month or the next. All the rumors are saying they’ll either upgrade the Oasis OR they’ll introduce a completely new kindle in the line. Since the EU has that new law about the charging cables it’s expected to have USBC like all the other kindles. Anyways I hope you enjoy since you got such a good deal on it!

I waited till today to buy the oasis from Amazon, because it’s prime day! It’s $199 new on sale when it’s normally almost $300 😊

Ive had my oasis for 6 almost 7 years. I leave it on airplane mode, never have to charge it even with heavy use but i use an old samsung charger so probably a little faster than after market, i have my buttons flipped so that I can hold it at the bottom to flip pages, and I have one of the covers that evens out the back of the kindle as well as a book beau that I can store it in. Ive loved my oasis but i too was originally a nook girl. When nook stopped supporting my nook i switched and havent looked back between library, kindle unlimited, and open domain im never out of things to read. For mine charging dead to 100% is an hour max

Okay this is an update after I watched the video 😂 THE SKIN AND POP SOCKET IS SO CUTE!!!! I hope they come out with an updated oasis version because they really don’t have an ereader with buttons. But I love the video! Can’t wait for the next one.❤

Quick tip. Use some scotch tape and tape certain stickers together strategically so the stickers won't slide. Tape the stickers while laying flat. Also the battery is a thing that every oasis user struggles with. Mine stays on 95% after it has been fully charged. It's a thing and I even think amazon has stated it's an issue.

I also use my kindle paperwhite EVERY.SINGLE.DAY❤

It’s micro USB because it hasn’t been updated since they’ve been updating the paperwhite and creating the scribe. I’ve had my kindle oasis for 2 years and have never had any issues with it! Haven’t noticed issues with battery life. I love that I can flip over back laying in bed and switch hands lol oasis + pop socket is perfect for long periods of reading!

Same, except I’ve had mine a few years longer. It’s one of the absolute last things I have that still needs microUSB (along with my PS4’s DualShock 4).

I’ve also been thinking of getting one of these for soooo long… and now I just have to do it. lol

I have the oasis and decided to get the kindle basic mainly because I wanted something smaller. But also because I have the same battery issue and have to charge it every other day 😒

Had the batt issue not fully charging. Fixed it by draining my oasis to the point it shuts itself down. Never hhad the problem again. Always reached 100%

Hard reset the kindle oasis as that might sort all the battery issues.

I have the oasis and signature paperwhite. Oasis is my fav!!! Love the buttons and comfort of using. And thinner bezel. I have been curious about the scribe, as i keep thinking id love the bigger viewing. But idk. You said you like the oasis more than scribe. Sooo maybe i save my money. 😅

the oasis reminds me of the boox e-reader i want atm. im so sad that the battery is terrible, i would love to have the buttons versus just relying on having to tap the screen.

My boyfriend got me the oasis (brand new) in June of this year and it won’t charge pass 97%. I spoke with Amazon and I was told I can exchange it and sent it in to be repaired but I now have sentimental attachment to it that I don’t want to lose it lol so I will deal with the battery issue since I only use it at home and I have a kindle basic as my on the go kindle.

I just bought a brand new oasis with no ads off EBay for 199 ..I can’t wait to receive it.I currently have a 2018 paper white

I really love my Oasis and I’ve had it for around 2 years now and I’ve had no issues. I bought my new though and it had been released for at least 2 years so maybe it was pot luck or they fixed the issues during the initial release 🤷🏼‍♀️

I hope they update the oasis this year. I absolutely love my paper white. I tried the scribe but it’s just not it for me. I miss the physical buttons as well. My first every kindle had the buttons.

Check if your Oasis has the most current update. That may help the battery issue.

My son had the same issue with the books staying “queued” with his kindle basic and he only had it maybe 6 months. Amazon replaced the kindle. I had issues with the Oasis battery and it not syncing between devices.

I have a z flip 5 and I love it. Ive been a Note girl for almost 10 years and the flip 5 is such a game changer. I love the ability to prop the phone up and the cover screen is great for watching youtube videos. I also love how small the flip compacts down to so that I can hook it to my purse, pants, and costumes

With the download it was doing it if I added the book from the Amazon website or app if kindle unlimited so I can only now add the books from the kindle itself I have a paperwhite

the oasis battery is weird when i first got mine it dropped 20% like in two days of it just being on now it's gone a month on the same charger 🤷🏻‍♀️

my bestie has the oasis and she says it can’t go over 93% and she just sold hers and just got a paperwhite!

Your Oasis battery life issues are identical to my 2018 Paperwhite battery. My Paperwhite will charge to 100% but it tanks super fast, even if I don't use it. ): Am hoping to replace it with a newer model this fall. The Oasis seems like a great device. It's a shame the battery isn't better.

Not sure if you figured the battery out, but let it die completely. Charge it up and it might fix it.

My kindle oasis was purchased 7 years ago and charges to 100% with very little effort and holds a charge for weeks on airplane mode. Perhaps there were a few defective batteries?

I'd be so mad if i buy an oasis and then they come out with a new one with USB C

Amazon will be announcing an all new Kindle Oasis in a couple of weeks because the one you just bought is woefully outdated.

Love my oasis! I’ve had it for over 2 years now. Is the decal removable? I love the look of decals but I’m afraid of messing up my devices!😂
