I actually really like what they have going - this could be an easy recommend to people, or even as a gift. It’s cheap, yet feels and sounds premium, and has detachable cables, which people should love. If they offer a version with mic and volume rockers too, this could be have huge mass appeal. I love that Moondrop has listened to the responses to the Chu and refined it to what it should have been - budget perfection.

I mean anything can happen, when Crin make his first impression on the Audiosense AQ4, he gave 5/5 and that end up being a C+ IEM, TRI Starsea got 4/5 and that end up being a B- IEM with 2 star value ranking.

i recommended the original chu to 3 of my friends, all 3 had a failure in one of the IEM's and had to get them replaced.. I hope theres nothing like that with the new ones

i got a pair of these to serve as a simple, easy, replaceable, yet still good sounding set of earbuds to go with my laptop and travel setup and i could not be happier; much better than the KZs i had before!

Loving your stuff! Have used your tier list since about 2017 or 2018 when I stumbled on it through Reddit! Got the THIEAUDIO Monarch MKIII and I have to say, great sound! But, has anyone taken a look or considered companies like these ToS/warranties? 7 days for a $1k IEM, sketchy requirements for returns/repairs/exchanges, and most ask you not to declare the full value for cheaper customs fees (TLDR; insurance mount equates to the declaration value and if lost, you'll receive the value you specified). Hoping to visit your hangout lounge one day dude 🤙

They sound great, just the stock tips are terrible. I took the spring tips from my broken set of Chu 1st gen and it's a much better experience with them. Maybe similar tuning to the Zero Red 🧐

How different is it from the Salnotes Zero? Havent tried the original Chu yet. I prefer Audio-Technica's v-shape signature and tendency to lean to a brighter side. Currently I use the ATH-CKF300 a lot more than the Salnotes Zero.

is that the same carrying case as the Moondrop LAN? case is unusable due to not fitting the Apple dongle

I bought them.. these are quite nice.

Got mine for free via giveaway and I was pleasantly surprised. Easy candidate for a beater IEM to take in a backpack wherever you go, but wouldn't use it over any of my other stuff. Better than Salnotes Zero (IMO, sorry Crin).

@@viralbae9616 well you didn't specify :) I don't have an extensive stable of budget IEMs, but out of Quarks, Salnotes Zero, and Chu 2 - I would pick the Chu 2. Never tried the Hola or Wan'er but those would be a couple others to check out in that price range.

Obviously just my opinion and after being on the internet talking about audio for a couple years I can confidently say that most people's opinions (incl. mine) are about worthless and the only real way to decide is to try them yourself.

Hey @crin love your videos. I want to purchase my 1st IEM. Which should I go for Moondrop Chu/Chu 2, Salnotes Zero, or Thruthere Hola. I want my IEM to have good vocals, not much into the base, good for casual gaming, and most importantly need to be comfortable.

is cymbals pro better than HZSOUND Bell rhyme?

My most hated tuning is a left loaded mumble rumble. My wife has a Bose speaker and it's awful, you're always trying to hear past the low-end drone to find the sound. It's especially bad for movies with mumble acting. 😂

Sadly, there are no spring tips included 😢

@@viralbae9616 Compared to the regular 'Black Tips' that Moondrop provides, I've found that they can fit my ears much deeper and more securely. Sound shouldn't change too much on its own, but with a deeper fit, there usually comes a better treble extension.

I got my ChuChu 3 days ago For me it's smooth and high quality audio upgrade. Comparing to my last iem KZ ZSN pro, it's more warmer, clean treble, smooth v tuning in this ChuChu Its recommended who wants quality audio on v tuning with smoothness, maybe for me i take volume for less 60% for casual listening, in max depends on my mood in listening. The cable is good but doesn't have a mic since it's changeable cable, it's optional to change the cable. The eartips since its stock than springtips The eartips it's hard to fit in the nose, so i used my kz eartips and fits properly to my ears and the eim itself, i hope this one last more longer than kz zsn pro (due to sticky residue port) maybe it had chance to ruined the port so i need to upgrade. Kudos to iem users community

I'm more of a clarity type of guy, so hearing that it has more bass kinda disappointed me.. I prefer the tuning of the original Chu and i'm looking for a good replacement since my Chu is getting kinda old

Update: they were just flat-out defective. The left IEM died in less than a day. I bought the Salnotes Zero instead.

Had the Chu die on me within limited listening hours. One of the drivers went poof. Seemed decently common issue, which I hope is fixed here.
