for most of the playing, I'm also using a reverb pedal, which explains the added echo to the sound. A little reverb is always nice on electric instruments.
So this is a tenor stringed with a low G: lowG C E A and also
and has 2 pick-ups (one single coil, one double/humbucker) and you can switch between one of them, or both (three positions) + volume knob and tone knob

    Me too! Haven’t purchase yet but I’ve been looking at this exact same model (and color) that Ben nicely demonstrates here. Can anyone tell me the total length? I found the specs for the scale length but can’t find the the total length for this tenor tele.

    Thank you for your soulful review, liked it a lot! Liked and subbed! Look, a serious question now: I've watched quite a few reviews of electric ukuleles (Risa, Flight), and they all seem to look nice, but they don't seem to stay in tune! Did you have any problems with this one? Oh, and by the way, what country are you from?))) I could not tell by your accent))) Anyway, thanks a bunch!

    Great ukulele, it sounds fantastic. I suppose that the metal strings are totally different than the normal strings, its more difficult to play with metal strings?, the strings are "harder" in the electric uke than de nylon strings? thanks a lot for your video.

  • @BensUkeTutes

    @BensUkeTutes

    I wouldn't say that actually. The strings are thinner, but they are actually easier to bend (ie play bends on) which means you have more control and playability to do those bluesy riffs. You can do bigger bends too.

    ha ! yes it's hidden but super easy ... just turn your uke around, see, behind it, you put the thin end of the string in the whole, pull the other side all the way and voilà. The little metal circle bit will hold your string there.

    I saw Jeff Beck play this with Beck Bogert & Appice in Long Beach about 1973. He followed Freddie King who never used a pick and Jeff was playing more than half with no pick. The talk box was used by Jeff during that concert about 2 years before Peter Frampton did his talk box song. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ho6gqLabpsmxgKg.html And this was with Rod Stewart at his prime. kzread.info/dash/bejne/q3eTzMGdqs7Hhqg.html

    Is this a Concert Electric Ukulele? I have been playing the Ukulele for over 3 years now. But I have never tried an electric ukulele. Ive heard other electric ukulele's give an even grungry sound while playing sounds for AC/DC or Metlaicca or Alice in Chains. And I want to know what kind of foot pedal box is best to get for an electric ukulele and I also am trying to learn how to play an actual accoustic and electric guitar. I dont know much about other guitars. I want a good quality electric guitar and accoustic guitar that plugs up into an amp and has a built in tuner. But I dont want to spend a fortune since Im just learning. I already have an old accoustic guitar and an old Kay electric guitar. I think I need new strings on the electric cause it keeps buzzing on certain strings even when its properly tuned up. I still dont have a foot pedal box. I dont know which one is best to get. I like all kinds of genre of music. I play Rock, pop, Gospel, country and some blues. And I need to have a versatile electric guitar and electric ukulele that soujds great for any kind of genre of music. Any advice would be most helpful. I would like to stay in the $300 or less range. But I realize it will cost mkre when it comes to larger electric guitars. But there is a music shop that sales used guitars. If I know what to look out for I can keep an eye out for a good deal. Also, Ive been following marty music youtube channel and justin guitar youtube channel who teach how to play the electric guitar. I just bought justinguitars songbook. I need to also get the beginners course book that comes with 2 cd's. I would learn vest if I can find good detailed books that explain everything in good detail and also come with dvds on tutorials on how to play riffs and songs. Cause I play better also by ear and it helps me learn the song faster. I cannot read music. I just follow tthe graphics and tabs etc. But even Stevie Ray Vaughn did not read music. So im not worrying about that. Lol! Does anybody have any youtube channel suggestions for either Ukulele or accoustic teaching tutorials or books with dvds to order that could help me?

    I know it’s a couple of months past now so I don’t know if this will help, but I might as well try give you some advice. Firstly, this is a tenor size. The only electric ukuleles I have seen are in soprano and tenor, even then, the vast majority are tenor. For an electric guitar, Squier by Fender is very affordable with good quality. The most versatile would be a Squier Stratocaster with a HSS pickup configuration (Humbucker, Single, Single). The electric ukulele is much harder as it is a much smaller market. Risa is by far the best brand, but more pricey because of that. I’ve heard that Vorson is very affordable, but not very high quality. Flight is a good middle-ground brand, they aren’t cheap and they aren’t expensive, but they have decent quality. Nothing compares to the Risa models, but they are expensive. So I would say a Squier Stratocaster HSS electric guitar and a Flight electric ukulele (either Pathfinder or Centurion depending on what you prefer). As for pedals and the other stuff, I don’t really know about that. I hope this helps.

    "And I want to know what kind of foot pedal box is best to get for an electric ukulele" That's all personal taste. Think of it in the same way you would an electric guitar. You don't need a pedal at all. I think a bit of reverb really helps as without that, the guitar/ukulele sounds lifeless to me. You might want to check out Bernadette Teaches Music and Lara Markowitz.

    It costs more than a guitar... 🤔 As much as I love ukulele being charged more, for less material doesn't add up. Will stick to my guitar, with capo on the 5th fret + get 2 extra strings 😂😂
