45rpm is definitely a difference in quality! On 12 inch vinyl it sounds like studio tapes!

Thanks for sharing this Dylan. We struggled with this release, waffling back and forth about wether to buy or not to buy. In the end, we passed. We own an original pressing of “Delicate Sound Of Thunder” as well as the last release of it. We bought the “The Later Years” highlights vinyl release and almost passed on it. At $45 and short set list(regardless if it’s 45 rpm), we just couldn’t justify owning this one. Although Pink Floyd is our favorite British band, we aren’t completists. Hate to say this out loud, but it really seems like a cash grab. *ouch*-Chris & Beth🎧

Polydor released a Knebworth dbl lp with various artists like Paul McCartney, Genesis, Dire Straits and Pink floyd in 91 I think.
I’m waiting for the price to drop a bit, I really hope they do release AMLOR remix too.
Do you collect live dvd/blurays aswell as vinyl?

Who did the mastering and cut the lacquers ?
Nice to hear your early positive comments........however, be interested to know what you think after listening.......🤣 some of the songs have been cut pretty badly (numb supposedly awful) so I'm holding back as not willing to pay the high cost.........would rather listen on KZread to the original!

Tbh, I haven’t listened to the original performances but the overall mix is great and it sounds spectacular, span it a few days ago. I wouldn’t go as far to say it’s essential for the casual Floyd fan but it is a superb representation in terms of the 45 RPM mastering.

@@TheRecordSpinner Comfortably Numb cut short and I have to get up every 10 minutes to flip the record? Not a big fan of 45 RPM. 33 RPM sounds great if done properly. Sounds like I will pass on this one.
Record Industry not for all record in US Wish you were here , More , umaguma, Saurceful of secrets and The Piper at The gate is RTI , in Europe is Optimal Media for that ones. The last edition of pink Floyd like Delicat Sound of thunder 2020 and the Knebworth is optimal too but big problems of surface noise. shame
