Beautiful flowers!! It revokes me of the happy memory with families in Summer. I saw a lot of similar flowers on the island. And I have all these acrylic pens. They have beautiful colors and are easy to work with!

Your picture is beautiful Stephanie, thank you for sharing your process using these pens. On Friday I received the 32 set of Arrtx acrylic markers that comes with 2 bottles of Resin, UV Lamp and other accessories for rock painting. There wasn't much of a price difference between this package and the others on Amazon, so I got the one for rock painting. The markers swatched out nicely on Strathmore's Visusl Journal Bristol Vellum. Unfortunately, I don't think my white is nearly as opaque as what you used. It seems to bleed the underlying color through to the top, turning my white line over a black swatch, into a grayish white line. That's okay though, I will use Holbein Primary White gouache when needed. The gouache worked really well in covering up black lines in a Johanna Basford coloring book this weekend. It didn't look clumpy or splotchy like some of the opaque white pens can do. Arrtx needs to sell their opaque white pens separately, they'd probably make a fortune if they did!

Thanks so much, Cheryl!! So, you purchased the black barrel acrylic markers. They have a few sets, so it may be confusing. Those markers perform much more like gouache markers, and they will reactivate even after they are dry. So, that is why the colors you have are more transparent. I'm glad you used them with gouache, too! When I did the white markers comparison in this video, I swatched the white from your set first. It was the least transparent of them all. But, it's still useful! That is the marker I used to add feathers to my owl painting. All of the white markers are useful for different applications. They have an add on set to your marker set, too. It has more pretty colors and a much more opaque white. Still not as opaque as this set. I have more videos sharing about the black barrels acrylic markers that I hope help you use your set. These are the white barrel acrylic markers. They are made from a different formula, and are much more like acrylic markers. They dry permanent once dry, and won't reactivate. They only blend while still wet, but are also more opaque. I like both sets very much, but if I could only get one set I would choose the black barrel set you already have. You can mix those colors in a ceramic palette, and use them like gouache or use them directly on paper like acrylic markers. So they are more versatile. I hope that helps and you enjoy your new markers!! 💗

I bought a kit of wooden Christmas ornaments last season that I never got around to painting, but I'm going to get them out now.

Hi Stephanie I've bought the black and white sets and the metalics they are wrapped up under my tree staring at me until I've got to look away lol, I swear I can feel them enticing me but they are staying there till Christmas morning. I've seen loads of reviews on these but yours is the best, so one left a comment on one review saying the person had done it wrong and that they need priming so I replied to her comment to watch your video lol

I have a whole collection of Arrtx acrylic sets. The white barrel sets are permanent acrylic markers. The black barrel set is different from the white black barrel. They are not permanent. Some of the colors might be similar but their features are totally different. Hope it can help you!

They do have some similar colors, but the formulation is different. As Lene was kind enough to mention. This set of white barrel markers are permanent once dry and won't reactivate. They only blend while wet. The black barrel markers perform more like gouache markers. They reactivate even after they are dry. You can also mix black barrel markers on a ceramic palette, and make new colors etc. So, they are both different products but can be used together beautifully. I hope that helps!

Hi Stephanie, I'm loving the markers and was thinking of trying their oreos alcohol markers and was wondering if you've tried them. Those darn stickers do NOT stay on, they need to put nos or names on the pens

Hi Sue! I'm glad you are loving these markers! Sorry, I have not tried the Arrtx Alcohol markers yet. They have offered to send them a few times, but I don't like chisel nibs, I only like brush nibs. I do have a review coming for Sketchmarker alcohol markers. Their nib seems as great as Copic markers! But, they are not a budget product. They are more affordable than Copic markers, for sure though. Really? All of my stickers are staying on so far. I reach for the black barrel markers more though. Thanks for the heads up! That would drive me crazy, lol. For the first set that didn't come with stickers, I wrote the number on the back end with a sharpie. After a few months, it rubs off but it still helps a lot. So, you might try that. I hope that helps!

There are much cheaper markers that look exactly the same and use the same ink as the Arrtx markers (they have the same barrel and cap design, but they are black with rainbow colors). Arrtx is charging people premium for something that is worth much less. So why overpay? Get the cheap alternative instead (which is basically the same product, but much cheaper).

Really, can you please share which brand is exactly the same? I've not found any that do not require pumping and shaking first. I've only tried Chalkola and they didn't work long, I wasn't a fan. These were sent to me and I still enjoy them. I would love to share a more affordable option, if they are really they same quality! Thank you!

I have never shopped at Temu or Aliexpress. They steal from artists' and so many other reasons. I understand if others shop there, but personally I won't. ;D
